Wlad's athleticism and speed for his mass, is a pretty deadly combination,.. coupled with the fact that it's always an 'uphill' task against him,.. it's like trying to climb up a rope, while someone stabs a pole in the top of your skull,..and if you make it to the top,.. one little antelope skip, and you've got to do the course again.

Wlad isn't that special of an athlete to me. LeBron James is two inches taller and twenty pounds heavier.

Wlad is better than this level of heavyweight but put him in with past fighters I think it's a different story.

Watch the degree of second nature with which Wlad clinches the back of his opponents' neck anytime they come forward. That is absolutely illegal, and Haye's response was appropriate and the only way he could've avoided having his strength sapped by the incessant pulling down.

I agree with you that Wlad is vulnerable. But he's spent a lot of time compensating for that with various tactics and strategies, none of which involve letting his opponent get off with more than one to two punches before he goes in for the clinch.

The only reason there wasn't more clinching in the Wlad/Haye fight is that Haye threw so few punches and was as defensive as he was. Had he tried to be more aggressive he would've been beaten up in the clinches - illegally I might add.

It's pretty sad that Haye was the perceived biggest threat to Wlad. He sucks. As vulnerable as Wlad is, Haye just sucks. I wish he would've stayed at cruiserweight. As a heavy-weight, he fights like a bitch.
