Agreed, that bit was almost as absurd as the decision.

You would have thought he was getting brain damaged the way they were banging on.

The truth is he was just being beaten/outboxed almost every round, he wasn't taking a vicious beating or even close to it.

Still, he only won about 3 rounds, it was a complete robbery.

    Rios/Antillon was awesome.

    Great 3 rounds of Boxing

Agreed. It went down just about as expect. Great fight while it lasts, but we all knew that Antillion didnt have the chin to win the war.

Even in the first round when the two were trading bombs, it was apparent that Bam Bam was the stronger man, doing the more damage, and that it was only a matter of time.

Yep, Antillon had some success, but it was Rios with the more eye catching, bigger/hurtful shots

Sad to see that Paul could be on a downward spiral,.. but some people should calm down in regards to calling him a bum,.. you don't beat a rigged-wrapped Margarito or a Sergio "aztec" Martinez if you're a scrub.

Nobody should be surprised. MOST of us always knew that Tall Paul was gonna have a very short prime.

The only ones surprised are the select few tards who thought he was the next Hearns. Which is laughable, cause other than both being 6'2 welters, they had nothing in common.

Well, that 'short prime' gave us more entertainment than Mayweather and Hopkins careers combined. :truce:

I find prime Floyd, and B-Hop far more compelling to watch than Fall Paul.

I enjoy watching rare SKILLS/TALENT more than I do watching a retarded bama who catches every punch on his chin.

The problem with Paul and especially his team is their steadfast refusal to have him fight in a style more suited to utilizing his physical advantages. It's almost like they're being stubborn about it because everyone says it's what he should be doing. I don't care how busy Paul is, it's obvious that when he hooks with a guy with shorter arms--as is usually the case--the shorter armed fighter is going to get there first.

This is why it really doesn't bother me to see him and his team headed toward a downward spiral. Their stubbornness is frustratingly stupid.

I'm still a big Paul Williams fan. The guy would fight boths Klitschko's at the same time if you put them in front of him.

Sure he'd get destroyed in seconds, but the poor guy would go down swinging.

I can only hope he smartens up and finds himself a new trainer if he decides to fight on after this.

You are most definitely not enjoying the dominant talent and skills of Wladimir Klitschko for example,..and although there are other reasons, primarily he is tedious, he can't be much worse than Floyd, and he's most definitely not as eye-searing as Bernard Hopkins, who knocks no-one out, and reduces fights to 1 punch per round.

Williams services to entertainment, takes a whopping great shit on those 3 'high-rollers' ... and you know it.

Maybe he should dominate with the jab Lib four Lib,.. would you fancy that?... :crafty: ..

The only fight that makes sense for Fall Paul at this point is fighting James Kirkland.

  14. KaukipRrr

    KaukipRrr "Twinkle Toes" McJack

Well maybe they wouldn't dissapoint you,.. maybe Paul will do nothing but jab and ocassionally skip backwards out of harms way,.. and maybe Kirkland will sprint around the perimetre looking for a potshot/clinch combination,...

    'Skills' baby.

great performance by Rios. But why are they targeting Barrera now?

After the Peterson, Acosta, and Antillon wins beating Barrera is a step backwards I think.

How much credit will people give Rios for beating an old Barrera at 135?

At least Morales just had that great fight with Maidana. But Barrera hasn't been relevant for years.

    stupid fight I think.

Yeah, and if you watched the HBO fights, before the Showtime fights...........Max Kellerman would have let you know about that little tidbit of info, several times over.

From what I remember it's not the first time HBO spoiled the outcome of a competing card. I don't recall Showtime ever pulling that stunt before.

Spot on - I remember HBO announcing the results of Tzsyu-Tackie (was it zoo?) when they were broadcasting one of the Gatti-Ward fights.

Since then, I ALWAYS watch the showtime broadcast first, which since Rios-Antillion the best action fight on paper, I wanted to leave for last, kinda like dessert - once that peckerhead Max announced the results of Kermit Cintron fight, I breathed a sigh of relief knowing I had done the right thing.

:scratcher: The Freemason beam missed by a few hundred kilometres, but that still wasn't a bad effort, it's enough to convince me that Free Ike's surname had no chance anyway.

Rios is going to be a tough nights work for anybody. I hope Arum makes the fight with Soto next.

Yup. Rios isnt any easy fight for ANYBODY at 135-140.

The truth is.... he could concievably beat anybody from 135-140. If anybody was to beat him it'd probably be Bradley, but I dunno if Timmy the head has enough firepower to keep Bam Bam off for 12 rounds. And Rios has the power to put Bradley's lights out.

    Rios would end Alexander's career.
