Wow, I might actually take Morrison. He kept out of a prime Mercers way for four rounds. That would be long enough with this Tyson, if he could last.

Which was the 35 year old Tyson I forget . If it's the Lewis/Etienne Tyson than Morisson takes him out. That Tyson only had stamina for 2-3 rounds if that and his side to side and head movement for 1 round tops. Give me Morrison in 7 after Tyson either quits or is tko'ed.

Tyson turned 35 in 2001. He was a shot fighter.

LOL, Tyson didn't just stand there getting punched in the face like Mercer... he actually threw punches early in fights... with Tommy's chin, I think that would have been enough

Morrison didn't stay out of Mercer's way at all, by the way... that was the whole point... he was landing 2 out of 3 on the guy

Sure, Tyson was pretty much a bum by this point but he still had that punch and he still STARTED well... Again, I'll take Tyson on a KO here without much hesitation

like cdogg said, Tyson still punched and Tommy would recieve at least one and that's all it would take. wouldnt even have to be a good shot

If Morrison can make it out of the first two rounds it's his fight. Tall order against Tyson given Morrison's chin and willingness to exchange.

Morrison would likely beat the post-Lewis Tyson.

But the Tyson of 2000 that beat Saverse, and Golota still had enough to destroy Tommy.

35 year old? That's the Neilson Tyson, by my calculations.

    Morisson.

Nielson was no Tommy, I can't see Nielsen doing a job on George Foreman.

George Foreman would probably beat the Neilson Tyson fought now, never mind the 1995 version.

What dumbf*ck logic is this, LOK? Aren't you like a boxer with a bit of boxing experience? Sounds like some Geemoney sh*t to me.
When did you see Tommy fold over and die against Ruddock and Lewis? He took a lot of punches from them. Yet the piece of sh*t version of Tyson from 2005 only needs to throw one half assed shot and Tommy will just fall over? Dumbass!:laughing:
Tyson couldn't even beat that Irish bum. Hell he couldn't even beat Danny Williams. LOL! But he's gonna need only half a punch to put away Tommy Morrison? Right! :atu:

It is actually 2001 Tyson, not 2005, but I agree Morrison wins this...I think.

Yes. I want to say Morrison, but I keep remembering his fight with Michael Bentt and I give even an old Tyson a good chance of ending this one with one shot early on.

Yeah but let's consider the Bentt fight...you can't site it in isolation without considering the context. Morrison had zero respect for Bentt (justifiably in a sense) and so just went after him without any attention to defense. Bentt, in trouble, nailed him with a desperate counter right hand off the ropes that Morrison never expected since Bentt wasn't known as dangerous. The rest is history.

Morrison would never be that care-free against any version of Tyson.

Lennox Lewis fought Morrison after the Bentt upset and didn't take him out in a single round. Lewis punches much harder than Bentt. Razor Ruddock didn't take out Morrison in a single round and he punches much harder than bentt.

I don't see THAT version of Tyson taking Morrison out early either and therefore Morrison will beat him up down the stretch.

The Tyson of one year earlier probably gets the job done, but not the 239lb Neilson version.

But that's kind of my point:

Tyson wasn't Lewis or Ruddock at that point... he LOOKED beatable

Morrison wasn't THAT bright... It only takes one uppercut or hook for Tyson to alter thigns permanently in his favor

Morrison COULD win, but to me it's 50/50
