Unless Floyd commands him to only be seen and not heard and Sissy Sly does exactly what his master tells him.

Floyd couldn't clown me (in a discussion of course). He doesn't have the eloquence.

IN the ring, however, he'd not only clown me...but Cotto, Cintron and Margarito. :hammert:

He doesnt need eloquence. He just needs his yes men all around him. He could say "zoop zap zio" and his boy's would all praise him and you would feel stupid. Stupid and emotionally hurt. Emotionally hurt and mentally devastated. Mentally devasted and physically impotent. physically impotent and disgustingly obedient. Disgustingly obedient and ugly.

Maybe...but doubtful....Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Cintron and Clottey....Other than maybe Cintron who is a fucking flake would you pick Mitchell, Bumdomir*, Judah or Hatton to beat any of those guys that Mayweather avoided/ducked......???

    The correct answer is NO.....

Not fighting 2-3 of those guys could be acceptable if he had fought the others...but how can you be a welterweight between 2005-2010 and not fight any of those guys?? It's impossible...UNLESS you are completely avoiding them....

What he should've done is waited for each of those guys to lose in devastating fashion, and then fought them afterward.

    also once again, LOL@Clottey

I don't get why you guys seem to have a problem with us pointing out that Floyd hasn't fought a whole lot of highly ranked welterweights. Not sure what you have against guys fighting the other top guys in the division. Instead of just admitting that Clottey and Margarito were indeed top 5, you find ways to degrade them.

What ever makes you feel good about Floyd I guess.

mayweather jr avoided margarito, no doubt about it. he instead faced a complete stiff for the same amount of money.

not to mention if he had faced margarito he wouldve needed to give arum more options causing the delahoya bout to not occur.

Yeah that is what Pacquiao did...waited at 130-135 for Cotto, Margarito, Clottey to lose grueling fights...then he moved up...yeah that was the plan all along.

Sound more like something Mayweather did....Cotto was pounded...William had moved up...Cintron and Clottey he could avoid and nobody would bitch....OHHH and yeah MARGARITO got DESTROYED by Mosley....

    the coast is clear....

Okay...what about AFTER the De La Hoya fight...why didn't he fight Cotto, Margarito, William, Cintron, Clottey???...most who were TOP 5 Welters...

BUT no he fights Hatton.....no more easy fights to take...and retires...

cotto is the one guy out of those listed who he should have fought. and honestly who i still wouldnt mind seeing him fight. would have been nice if cottos promoter was interested in making the bout when both were under the top rank umbrella.

Hatton was an undefeated Top 5 P4P guy at the time and had more status in the sport than any of those other motherfuckers that you keep mentioning. Hatton was a HUGE fight and for good reason. Battle of undefeated P4Pders.

Looking back you can chat shit, but at that time no one was criticizing the Hatton matchup.

Hatton fought against collazo at 147 and looked like shit. You think the win at 147 has the same significance and meaning as it would, had it been at 140?

    Do you think this?

yeah but now you've changed the rules...

Historically, fighters have fought P4Pders moving up one division all the time.

    Hagler-Duran
    Hagler-Hearns
    Leonard-Duran
    Whitaker-Chavez
    Toney-Jones

No one was complaining then. Hatton was a LEGIT fight. Legit.

His only fight prior at 147 he looked like shit. Everyone knew 147 was no place for Hatton. If Collazo could beat the shit out of him, what would Floyd do? Everyone but brits knew Hatton was going to get spanked. His body wasnt made for that weight.

Floyd came up from 130lbs, hatton from 140lbs. Do the math? Whose body wasn't made for that weight?

    Dude...Floyd's just better.

Hatton was undefeated, top 5 P4Pder, proved his ability by stopping Tszyu in an upset...and he was only coming up 7 pounds. Duran jumped up 12 pounds to face Leonard...and if you consider the proportionate different...it's even bigger.

Hatton was more relevant a fighter at the time than fucking Cotto, Margarito and Cintron.

I'm sure there were other Welterweights Leonard could have fought instead of facing a former lightweight called Duran, but Duran was the P4P star and it was a big fight as a result.

In his only fight at 147 he fought a guy who weighed 160lb+. Floyd weighed 148, same as Hatton. The handicap Hatton faced because of the weight was minimal.
