MMA champ Overeem wants to fight Vitaly Klitschko

Guys like Rampage, Jeremy Horn, Rich Franklin, Vernon White, Mike Kyle, Dean Lister, Joe Stevenson, John Alessio, Diego Sanchez, Mac Danzig, Rory MacDonald, Rico Rodriquez, Keith Jardine, etc all fought in KOTC....

So yeah, the idea of any Top 50 boxer in any weight class EASILY winning a KOTC or KOTC-like event, is a stretch. No, it's actually highly unlikely.

I attend a ton of small shows all over Florida covering both MMA and submission grappling rules, and you're just dead wrong about how cross trained the athletes in even these small shows are nowadays.

Yeah, I've got to disagree with my boy Z on this one. I have U Haul boxes full of fights on VHS. Occasionally I will just randomly grab a couple and re-watch the fights.

Last Saturday night I pulled out a tape that had Mayweather-Lockridge and Hagler-Roldan among others.

Never gets old. (Well, the tapes are getting old and the quality is slipping).

 

Upload that stuff for your Aussie brothers starved of regular boxing.

 

For 5 years or so I've been saying I am going to copy them digitally but then I go out on You Tube find most of them there and lose the motivation.

Many MMA fighters boxed....they didn't get KO'd. Believe it or not it's a lot easier to get KO'd when you are getting hit with small gloves and you don't have big pillows to hide your face.

The problem with your logic here is that Lesnar still is only like 5-2 in MMA and as soon as he met a guy who matched his wrestlign and was more well rounded, he got shit kicked. Thus proving my point.

He did, but he was not just a wrestler, he was a great wrestler. As we have seen, it can only get you so far. Usually a guy isn't going to fight for the belt with 4 MMA fights. Lesnar was a huge draw, so they gave him the shot.
