Khan never beat him, that second "fight" was a complete promo for Khan, Kindelan was shipped over, and soon after briefly took on a role coaching Brit amateurs as part of some exchange scheme. If you watch that rematch, its obvious Kindelan was soft-pedalling. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/6152264.stm
I don't see it (Kindelan tanking it) when I watch their fight, but it's a possibility, of course. So is the fact that Kindelan could have slowed down on his way out of am boxing. I will say this, though. The version of Kindelan that Khan beat would have beaten Bradley, Alexander, Maidana, etc in an am fight that night. Even if he had slipped some, Kindelan had a long way to slip before he was just good. To act like it wasn't a real accomplishment by Khan and indicative of how talented he is, you better believe that Kindelan tanked it or that Kindelan had really slipped. Otherwise, to just dismiss that performance as irrelevant to how good of a pro he is (and therefore conclude I'm an idiot) is just to be ignorant of how am and pro boxing relate. It's akin to saying that getting knocked out in the ams isn't indicative of a pro's chin because it happened in the ams.
He can't punch. He hurts guys through sheer handspeed/accuracy, but his punches have no meat on them at all. Just sharp/fast/stinging shots. They don't have proper explosive power a la Pacquiao, or any REAL meat on them. Even Morales and his 122 pound stick arms hurt Maidana significantly more with headshots. If Khan could punch, AT ALL, he would have hurt the aging featherweight Barrera with at least 1 of the 100 flush shots he landed on him.
Not saying I disagree, but making a comparison to Pacman who is easily p4p best puncher today doesn't say alot.
I know, I just used Pacquiao as an example. Swap Pacquiao for anyone else with fairly legit power. Even Rios. Rios hits harder than Khan, his punches actually have some meat on them, rather than just being fast/stinging shots like Khan. Actually I remember now, I used Pacquiao as an example because Pacquiao is a fighter that's extremely fast but has legit power too. Pacquiao doesn't just hurt people through speed, he has proper, meaty punches.
I like Judah more than Khan...but the best thing for boxing today is that KHAN wins.... I rather see Mayweather vs. Khan than Pacquiao vs. Judah....
Must admit I can't ever recall Zab looking that ripped. But I'm not gonna speculate on the steroid issue. Hope he stretches this clown.
Either Khan is smaller than 5'10 or Judah is taller than 5'7, because the height difference between them is about an inch. Looks like 5'8 vs 5'9.
:laugh11: That has nothing to do with anything! I like Khan but I don't see anything special in the lad. Best of luck to him. Great if he can crush Judah and go on to have a respectable career.
Please please let either guy get knocked out COLD. 10 count. ray: Then i can blow my load and sleep happy.
Is this guy seen as a big prospect over in the States? I was impressed and I don't think I've ever seen him mentioned on here
i was looking forward to making that determination tonight. but apparently he is fast as shit and was impressive in winning an 8 rounder before quillin fought.
I'm offering 2/1 odds on this fight for anyone who thinks Judah will win. $25 against $50 unless someone wants to go higher than that. :dunno:
