That's not the case here. My man steve dave is just making *Z* aware that he along with many others were singing a very different tune prior to Lesnar's arrival. Back when they said "You can't dominate MMA with only 1 discipline!"
So Lesnar comes in with his wrestling, can't kick or punch to save his life and has no real chin yet goes and wins the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE BIGGEST MMA LEAGUE IN THE WORLD! ::
And now these clowns are saying "Lesnar wasn't proven, he got exposed, etc."
I'm like "Come on dude, the f*cker won the WORLD TITLE in the UFC. How much better does it get? Face the facts, you do not need to be talented in various disciplines to be a champion in MMA or the UFC. It's been proven enough times.

The fans today are saying he was exposed and was lacking in other disciplines. Just telling you what's been said. Sure Lesnar was a beast. No denying it. But his effort in the first 4 minutes and 28 seconds against Carwin is not exactly thrilling sh*t, Godfather.
Champion or not, if a huge chest-thumping beast is walking around and his best defense against a puncher is to run the f*ck away and fall into a fetal position, that's not particularly impressive, regardless of whether he won after the opponent gassed out.
Lesnar ran away. It was only a matter of time really. He got completely lucky. It was funny seeing REED's comments about Lesnar being the baddest man on the planet after he managed to survive against Carwin. All the talk stopped when he got ass raped by Velasquez. It's true that Lesnar was a phony champ.

If you think that MMA fighters are as used to taking punches, seeing punches, avoiding punches etc etc as boxers, most of which have been taking and avoiding said punches since they were kids or teenagers, and whose training regime consists almost entirely of punching/avoiding punches/taking punches then there's really no point talking to you.

There's a reason why boxers are much, much better at boxing than MMA fighters, because they practice it exclusively, they have 100 times more experience in it, and they are practicing it as a much higher level. That includes taking punches and avoiding punches of course, seeing as that's a big part of boxing.

Anyone who thinks an MMA fighter (on average) has the same punch resistance as a boxer is fucking insane, blind, deluded etc.

It's really not much different from saying a boxer can take a leg kick as well as an MMA fighter.

 

It depends on the person, not what sport they participate in. What you are saying right now is completely ridiculous. You can't just make a blanket statement like "All boxers hit harder and take a better punch than all MMA fighters"

It's simply just not true and you know it. That's the last I will say about this ridiculousness.

 

Godfather, let me put it to you this way. Manny Pacquiao was basically a one handed fighter for his entire career. As he went up the ranks, he was technically exposed by the likes of Morales. It took about 3 years for Pacquaio to become comfortable using both hands.
Yet in MMA, fighters "think" they have become adequate boxers in merely 6-7 months of training.
As I said before, jack of all trades...master of none. You really can only master one element of fighting in your life. Even to be a great boxer will take your entire lifetime. That's why as good a striker as Anderson is, he would be badly exposed if he tried to take his striking game to the pro boxing circuit. Much the same way GSP would be exposed if he thinks his few years of wrestling will carry him at the Olympic level.
A lot of these fighters only look good compared to their opposition but they are indeed very badly lacking.
