Not really, although I'd say he's seen as a prospect. There are so many negative fans in the sport these days that someone like Jermain Taylor or Chad Dawson is called shit even after big, legit wins.

Then for more neutral fans, we are so used to seeing guys like Quillin--such as Allan Green, Danny Jacobs, Joe Greene, Jaidon Codrington--fail to pan out that it's hard to get excited about any US prospect these days until they have a title belt around their waist.

I think the biggest reason that it's hard to get hyped about a US prospect these days is because so few guys distinguish themselves as am phenoms, but that's just mE. If you don't dominate in the ams, it's likely that you will not dominate as a pro.
