I think Zab would eventually get there in a pretty sloppy fight, kinda like the 2nd fight with Cory Spinks. Zab in his prime would have pulled the trigger more at least.
If prime Zab was able to land on Floyd, he'd certainly be able to land on Khan. It'd be interesting to see how Khan reacted. Khan IS very fast, but make no mistake.... the Judah of 5-6 years ago had the fastest hands in the sport.
Yeah, Zab was 28 when he fought Floyd, with relatively low mileage on him. He still was as fast as ever in that fight. He was in his prime.
Even you have to admit though Neil, the Judah that Khan beat was a shell of early 00's Zab. Being unable to pull the trigger is the classic sign of a washed up fighter. And in ALL of Zab's previous losses, he at least was able to pull the trigger.
yea i agree that zab was at his best vs. floyd. just because a fighter lost his previous fight doesn't mean that he was past his prime or some bs. and it's not like he got punished vs. baldomir. either way, zab can't be a solid pick vs. anyone in mythical matchups seeing how he manages to fuck up on any given night in notable fights.
Zab was in his physical prime for a lot of his losses. The Khan loss wasn't one of them. I agree that the Mayweather Jr fight may have been the best version of Zab we'll ever see. He was definitely "up" for that fight.
