Moved on...?? unless he is fighting Bradley or Mayweather ....a rematch vs. Maidana makes the most sense....

unless he wants another softie fight...McCloskey or Salita...he already beat the GREAT Marco Antonio Barrera...he will jump on another Mexican great.....show how he wants to fight the best.

    seriously, MOVED ON?

    what the fuck?

did I miss something? He barely fucking made it out of that fight with Maidana

That's not the point. Floyd hasn't had that many fights, has been taking breaks which allows his body to recover, does not smoke or drink, DOES NOT CUT WEIGHT(very important), and...again is really only 34.

He's surely got a lot of wear and tear from training all these years, but as far as becoming washed up overnight, I don't see that happening...I think it'd be Floyd gradually breaking down when he starts to actually get old, like in 3 years when he's 37.

He's going to fight only big fights. After Ortiz, which he should win, no matter how young and hungry Ortiz may be.

Afterward he'll fight maybe Pacquaio and retire. Pacquiao isn't very young himself and has had a lot tougher and more fights than Floyd.

well, he will deservedly be called out on that fight from here onward

I cant imagine a really great fighter not wanting to make that win look a lot more convincing

    Cynically speaking, you are right

still doesn't change the fact that its a bitch move to just gloss over that one and say 'yup, I've got a W there... I almost died, but I got the W"

I admit, a rematch with maidana for khan is dangerous, but I still think khan beats him.

Almost died? Maidana had a tremendous tenth when he had Khan one punch away from defeat, but by the end of the fight it was Amir landing the combinations. Khan won clearly enough to me for it not to be a major criticism if he takes on someone else, a rematch would be nice of course, but he doesn't have anything to "prove" against Maidana.

    I disagree, man

If you are super, you deal with Maidana pretty handily

It's not good enough to win by a point, you have got to win handily... you can't tell me Khan did any such thing

Guess you just saw it different mate, I didn't have it that close, nor did most of the people I spoke to about it. I don't think he has any record to set straight against Maidana.

I would love to see a rematch tho. It's a dangerous fight to take, but i believe Khan would beat Maidana convincingly.

I thought khan won deservedly. A second fight would go down well with the public and khan would end up silencing his critics.

You being one of them cdogg

Floyd will be fine. He has taken almost zero punishment his whole career, only fights about once a year and is always in shape.

Look at Bernard Hopkins. He is 45 years old, and still dominating.

Floyd can fight at the top level for at least another 5 years.

I didn't see any real debate in the Khan-Maidana fight at all TBH. It was a close, exciting fight but fairly easy to score as all the rounds were clear one way of the other. It was also one of those rare fights where the judges were pretty much spot on: I had it 114-111 as well.

No controversy at all: just a close but clear win for Khan

Yes he has. I love how Cddogg correctly predicted how and why Judah would lose yet everyone seems to discount it and think Cddogg was wrong.

Cotto and Baldomir dominated Judah similar to what Khan did and Cotto might have done it worse. There's a reason why too, because like a few mentioned here, Judah hasn't done shit with some of the elite guys he fought. Everyone mentions the Mayweather fight but that's a fluke and probably had more to do with the fact that Judah knew Floyd, and was comfortable fighting him because of that. With most everyone else though Judah's just straight scared.

When Judah fights elite opposition he usually goes into those fights with his confidence already shot, acts like he's too afraid to even fight his opponent and goes straight into survival mode. Hell, even Clottey made Judah quite in their fight when Judah bitched up and acted like he couldn't see from a clash of heads.

So I'd say based on my previous post and what I think of Judah, I'm not too sure about Khan. Last night didn't prove a damn thing. It doesn't matter how shot a fighter is or how much he has left. What matters is that fighters effort when he comes to the ring and Judah didn't even put up a fight. Hell, Khan himself said he felt like he hadn't been in a fight and that he wasn't even tired.

So I've seen less of Khan than most but I agree with some and think he is kind of a sloppy fighter when it comes to style. His punches don't look right when he throws them for some reason. He's still talented though and the sport is thin enough that he could be a top fighter.

All that said, I don't dislike Khan, I just haven't seen enough of him yet to truly form an opinion but I know last night was not a test for him other than to show he could beat up a guy too scared to fight back.

MM forum is on fire...khan struggles against any fighter who can take a shot and land his own..Oscar,cotto, hatton can all take them on the chin. The problem for khan is they hit back.
