Miike is well known world wide. This is like called Darren Aronofsky a no name director, or something like that. Audition, Ichi The Killer, Visitor Q would be his most famous movies I guess.

And just to be clear i wasnt saying you were ignorant in all things, just specifically talking about Miike. He is well known by several members of this forum. So if those several members are the only ones participating, it would still be enjoyable, because his movies create so much discussion. Did you recommend a movie called confessions to me? Which was it again?
Where is Massacure? He knew all about this shit. Personally my favorite was Dead or Alive 2. I think most people thought it sucked but I thought it was enjoyable. Of course Ichi the Killer was good. If you get through the slow paced first half of The Audition you get a nice pay off at the end. All three movies were different.
13 assasins might be his best work. That movie was fuckign great. DOA 2 was good for what it was. I wasnt a huge fan of the DOA series. Gozu & Bird People of China were really good too. Dont ever watch Izo.

only saw audition and ichi the killer. thought ichi was interesting and different but basically a bit style-over-substance (sorry mex), but audition was a very very good movie all-round imo.
