If cdogg makes this kind of pick in a Whitaker fight, it means Pea has zero chance in reality

    how so?

Whitaker made it look damn easy against a big, powerful guy in Vazquez

Vargas brings some better footowrk and skills to the table, but not as much power IMO and his not as durable... Whitaker has every chance of being able to decision him, even here at his highest possible weight

Yes, but considering that you pick Whitaker by a close decision instead of a shutout is unheard of:finger:

More power is academic, Vargas has more than enough pop to bother Whitaker.. and Vargas' durability is again academic. He lasted 12 rounds against Trinidad, Whitaker isn't going to test his durability.

Whitaker would have his moments, but imo Vargas would win a clear decision based on activity and effective aggression. I'm a huge fan of Whitaker, but I just don't see him getting it done against Vargas at 154.

I never saw Whitaker bothered or intimidated by anyone and Vargas had noticeable toruble with guys who were a bit more cute than he... Vargas could win, like I said I see a close fight, but I think to simply dismiss Whitaker as having no chance is foolish

Stylewise Vargas was better suited to have success against the 154 Pea than Vasquez. His style was also more suiited than DLH to have success vs Pea. Even though, DLH always beats Vargas, and Vasquez would have probably beat the hell outta Vargas.

I'd say Nando wins a 7-5 type of decision. Pea would of course cry robbery, and many would make the case that Pea deserved the decision. But in reality it'd be a close fight.

I bet you have only trained for two-minute fights. Well I have trained for two minutes ten seconds, so you have no chance:kick:

  17. Vargas 7-5 sounds about right. Peawea was a small guy let's not forget.

Pacheco commenting on an Ali fight (take your pick) is the single most objectionable piece of broadcasting known to man. I mean, on levels ofelite bias & man-love, we're talking...

    -Pacheco on Ali

    -Czyz on Tyson

    -Lampley on De La Hoya

he makes Max Kellerman look like Eddie Futch

    nah, not at all

its the fact that Pacheco was ALWAYS saying ignorant things

has nothing to do with Whitaker
