    It's easy to determine actually. I can list 20 better current directors that have made consistently better movies. I will take it to the movie section.

    i read 'clockers' but didnt see the movie. inside man was decent. didn't watch crooklyn nor get on the bus. not sure what to say about his overall work, but 'he got game' was great i thought.

  5. Do the right thing was entertaining. But Spike's annoying directorial nuances were evident as usual not to mention that spike's offensive rodent-like face was the main character in the film.

    That radio raheem death scene is still probably one of the most painful and disturbing scenes I have ever seen in a film alongside Han's destruction of "Mr Williams".

    You are right. Do the right thing was a classic. A classic showcase in performances. Which drove the movie. You had a young director who got experienced actors and rode their back. IMO this movie was great because of two things. The acting by the experienced actors and the writing. The directing was whatever. Lee's writing was great tho.
