Not even close to being terrible. Fedor fell lifelessly face first into the canvas. It was only the 2 or 3 follow-up shots by Henderson that woke Fedor back up. He was out.

I said this on BF, but it reminded me of Liddell-Rampage II. Chuck was out cold but the follow-up punches on the ground by Rampage brought Chuck back to life.

And did you see Fedor sitting like a zombie right after they say him up?

By the way, Fedor is obviously well past it, but it is funny that the first time he faces a truly dangerous puncher, he gets knocked out.

No i didnt. I saw fedor drop, then got up and turned himself around. And Hendo didnt land shit after that punch. Fedor would have been fine.

Fedor has faced harder punchers than Hendo

    No...

He hasn't faced anyone that is as proven a puncher in MMA.

When I think about it, Arlovski WAS dangerous but not when he faced Fedor.

Henderson is one of the biggest punchers in MMA. Who else on Fedor's resume qualifies to be called "One of the biggest punchers in MMA".

And please, if you say Cro Cop, the discussion is over.

Dude, I'm watching it again right now. Henderson lands one to the back of Fedor's head and another to Fedor's right temple ON THE GROUND.

Don't tell me he didn't when there's a 52' HD replay telling me he did.

    Geezuz...

He's fought harder puncher for sure...the problem is those guys literally weren't even mixed martial artists. Guys like Sem Schilt punch harder than Hendo, but he's a kickboxer who was completely helpless on the floor. Like a lot of guys Fedor fought, which is why I criticize him so much. It's a joke to me a guy is considered "The Michael Jordan of MMA" when not only was his competition weak, not only did he pad on cans, but they weren't even real MMA fighters. I count 8 guys on his record that were part time fighters with no real MMA training....8. And that was me NOT including Bum/Scum Rogers.

:laugh11:Yeah, now it's suddenly the "lick Dan Henderson's ass" thread. The same motherf*cker who got choked out like a dumb sh*t against Anderson and looked like a useless fart against Jake Shields. He manages to whack out Fedor at the very end of Fedor's career and it's now something special. It's about as meaningful as Tyson/McBride.
Fedor is washed up. Once that aura goes, the rest follows quickly.

We'll just have to disagree because I don't think Schilt was a harder puncher than Henderson.

That being said, I am probably looking at it pound-for-pound since Henderson is basically a MW.

Fedor's demise was bound to happen. It was actually overdue. Just about all the guys of his time period (Nog, CroCop, Wanderlei, etc) are finished. Now it's the era of the twenty-somethings (Cain, Dos Santos, etc).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I mentioned Fedor being WELL past it.

But that would require reading for a minute which would interrupt your non-stop Fightbeat spamfest.

Which heavyweights other than a washed up Fedor has Henderson knocked out?

Again, stop spamming for one second and read where I said I'm looking at it pound for pound since Henderson is basically a middleweight.

    Try this read-spam-spam-read..

It will help you look less like a retard.

Fedor got choked out like a dumb shi*t against Werdum. I'd rather lose to one of the greatest of all time then a tier 2 HW. :dunno:

Anderson is literally older than almost every single of of those fighters.

Hell, Hendo himself competed in the first Olympics and knocked Fedor the fuck out.

Doesn't matter what you said. The fact is you said that this was the first time Fedor fought a truly dangerous puncher. Dan Henderson is a f*cking middleweight. Fedor fought guys 240+ and at the time when they were in their primes (CroCop and Nog) were the 2 most feared guys in the sport of MMA when Fedor beat them.
It's easy to sh*t all over his resume now that all these guys have badly deteriorated and are basically shot but anybody watching MMA some years back knows what was going down. Fedor beat the best. His time and his era is over, that much is true. Nothing lasts forever.
Just like Cain in a few years along with Dos Santos will get their faces smashed in by younger guys, it's a cycle. Happens in all sports.

  18. TLC

    TLC "Twinkle Toes" McJack

Cro Cop was like 225lbs.......hardly 240+. Cro Cop was also astonishingly overrated as well.

And how many more years do you think Anderson will be around? It's only a matter of time. His end could happen at any time. Hell he's even ducking Jon Jones and wants absolutely nothing to do with Jones whatsoever. The fight was talked about and even Jones said recently he'd be willing.
And Henderson's lost so many times, who really cares anyway. Yeah he got a washed up Fedor tonight. Good for him.

  20. Hanz

    Hanz Roberto Duran

Yes, everybody is f*cking overrated now!!! That's why 12 year old kids aren't allowed to stay up past 10pm to watch MMA. Because of stupid reasoning like that. They don't have a clue what's actually going on in front of them. But they have an opinion all the same.

I'm not shitting on anyone's resume. I'm saying that Henderson is the first guy Fedor has faced that will be considered one of the hardest punchers in MMA.

Neither Nog or Cro Cop will be on that list. Period.

  22. TLC

    TLC "Twinkle Toes" McJack

No. I found out Cro Cop was overrated when he got knocked the fuck out by Gabriel Gonzaga, who isn't even in the UFC anymore. And got dominated by Cheick Kongo.

  23. TLC

    TLC "Twinkle Toes" McJack

So? Why would he fight Jones. Not only are they not in the same weight class, Jones has several challengers lined up, including his good friend Lyoto. Secondly, why would he "pass the torch" so to speak to Jones. Because that's all that fight would be. He has nothing to gain and everything to lose.

And yeah, Anderson will probably retire soon, if not be knocked out or just lose....he's past his prime but the point is, he's proven he can be the best regardless of age.

  24. Trplsec

    Trplsec Sleeps in a Cage

Yeah, but you don't understand the logic. Cro Cop was great and then got beat by Gonzaga. So that point becomes the exact moment Mirko exited his prime.

Just like when Werdum choked out Fedor was the exact moment Fedor left his prime.

    It goes on and on.

  25. Hanz

    Hanz Roberto Duran

So where do Cain and Dos Santos rank right now? These are the top 2 heavyweights in the world. When they lose, will they be overrated too? I mean really, who the f*ck has Cain actually beaten other than that hyped up chinless Lesnar? How about Dos Santos? Looked hardly impressive against Nelson and couldn't put away a near dead Carwin who's like 35 years old.
I think all these f*ckers are overrated now that I look at it.
How about GSP? Guy can't even finish an opponent.

  26. TLC

    TLC "Twinkle Toes" McJack

When a guy loses, he loses in his prime and people accept it. That's how I've always seen it.

When Cain beats Dos Santos that just means that JDS is probably the 2nd or 3rd best active HW. What he does afterward will determine his legacy.

Hopefully for him, though, he can lose on a cut and then go fight cans in DREAM, win like 30 in a row then be considered the GOAT.

And yeah...if Cain had been dominated by Kongo, I would've thought he was overrated, but he didn't....he got punched in the face, then took Kongo down repeatedly and punched in him the face 300 times.

Nor was JDS brutally KO'd by Gonzaga....he made quick work of him and knocked him clean out.

Yeah but none of them got beat by Randleman or Hunt.. But Cro Cop did.

    LOL...

Fujita is a harder puncher than Hendo.

Rogers is also a harder puncher

In all seriousness you have to give it up to Henderson though. The guy isn't afraid to face anyone. He's faced the best guys consistently at 185 and 205. He hasn't ducked anyone. And tonight he steps up and fights at HW again.

And the dude is a couple weeks away from being 41.
