Bute is Pavlik's cash out fight. He and his people know his chances against Bute are slim.... they're simply trying to get as much $$$$ as possible for Kelly's final ass whuppin.

Fck Pavlik. As a fan, I was looking forward to seeing him, and not for the first time, he's let his fans down. Fuck him - I'm tired of watching him throw away opportunity after opportunity.

WTF does he expect? He's become a nobody - does he expect to get paid as much as he did when there were high hopes for him?

I have to wonder - who the hell told Pavlik he was entitled to millions of dollars, regardless if he wins, or even fights? Who does he think he is?

Another example of this kind of bull-shit from Pavlik was his statements about Showtime and that it was crap compared to HBO. First of all, Showtime is better than HBO at this point, when it comes to boxing. And secondly, as we all know, Pavlik was set to fight on Showtime - Shobox. What a fckr Pavlik's turned out to be.

Pavlik was set to make like $50,000 for the fight tonight after making over $250,000 for his last fight. He didn't know that he would be getting raped until a week ago and he pulled out of the fight after considering it over the weekend.

This isn't mma. Losses hurt and name boxers deserve more than the kind of shit pay that top rank was giving him for this fight. In Kelly's case, a lot more.

I am betting that things will work out for Pavlik just fine and probably financially better now. We'll see.

 

How could pavlik not know his fight purse when the contract was initially signed? Someone should be held accountable for this

Cameron Dunkin is an idiot. I don't know why this clown makes money and signs fighters. The dude is such a useless fat ass.

 

Dunkin clearly knows the ins and outs of the game and although he gears most of his guys toward TR i doubt he flat out lied to pavlik about the fight purse. reed is mostly likely correct and pavlik is the one who should be held accountable for backing out. he probably wasnt 100% ready for this bout and didnt want to risk a loss for 50Gs
