Its a joke. Wenger wont pay top dollar for proven players in positions that are needed. Yet pays 12mil for an unproven teenager from league 1 :scared2:
With the Cesc to Barcelona deal pretty much wrapped up, does anybody here see Wenger letting go of Nasri??? City are offering 22 million pounds or something.
^^^^The thing with Nasri is that he refuses to sign a new contract, basically threatening to leave for free next year. Arsenal must feel like they've been totally fvcked over this Summer.
Wenger has made a complete and utter pig's ear of this off-season, imo. Unable to get deals done with Cesc, Cahill and Samba. Unable to make more than 1 quality signing. Unable to get Nasri to re-sign presumably because of the lack of quality signings. I wonder why Cesc wants to leave? I think Arsenal became a bit of a laughing stock with their ridiculous lowball offers for Jagielka and Mata. Both offers immediately rejected as if to say - "come back to us when you are actually serious". Offering 12m for Jags then paying 12m for another teenager in Chamberlain (who I am sure is promising but he does little to help us NOW). It's a joke.

I think Arsenal have proven that they are pretty good at securing 4th place. No worse and certainly no better. bwuahahaha.
I hope Arsenal or Liverpool win the league this year, won't happen though. I guess Man Utd will do as long as it's not the scum.
I agree. Going back to 1996 no one besides Arsenal/Chelsea/ManUre have won the league. And now that Arsenal are not spending it's maybe Man Titty that will replace them. Basically will have 3 teams with a realistic shot. If Arsenal lost Cesc and then won the league I would probably bust a nut.
Man United are the rightful favorites to win it all. The club has stability in spite of their debts and all. Theyre the most complete of the top sides. Hopefully Arsenal put up a fight but I question the ambition o that board they have. Seems to me theyd rather pocket the money for themselves instead of investing in quality players for the squad. Man City you gotta watch for. Lots of talent on that squad.
I am pretty certain that Arsenal are not concerned with actually winning the Prem. Their goal is to spend as little as possible in order to finish top 4 and make the Champions League so they can take in that revenue while not having to spend what is required to actually win the CL tourney or the Premiership. Losing Nasri and Cesc will be tough, but I am pretty confident that Arsenal will buy necessary replacements in order to facilitate a 4th place finish
Yea the Gunners are in a limbo stage at the moment they can't seem to get out of. I respect tthe fact that they're run like a proper business but you have to splash the cashish after a while. It's annoying because the last few years they have only been a couple of players off. Ah well. If Liverpool can get off to a good start it will be interesting
drumroll please....... another teenager! http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...nal-agree-terms-to-sign-joel-campbell?cc=5901
So, apparently the police have allowed three orange walks through the east end of Glasgow around the Celtic Park area at around full time tomorrow. I'm hoping/expecting that this can't actually be true or that the times are at least wrong. I'll stick my plimsoles on anyway.
