    NEW YORK
Welterweight champion and Filipino congressman Manny Pacquiao has shot up the charts with his single "Sometimes When We Touch," which moved to No. 7 in the secondary adult contemporary rankings Wednesday.

    Who's the man?
We tell you in our pound-for-pound boxing rankings.
The move — reported by Friday Morning Quarterback Report, a trade publication that monitors smaller radio markets — is the first time Pacquiao's track has cracked the top 10.

Singer Dan Hill heard Pacquiao perform his ballad on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in late 2009. He reached out to the boxer and they met last June at the St. Regis in New York, where Pacquiao had booked an entire floor.

"It was like hanging out with Elvis meets Muhammad Ali," Hill said. They became fast friends and agreed to make a record, video and documentary.

In October, while he was training 12 hours a day in Hollywood for his fight with Antonio Margarito, Pacquiao met Hill in Capital Studios, still wearing his workout clothes.

"I didn't want to tire the guy out, because I was really worried about his fight," said Hill, who came away impressed by Pacquiao's focus on singing. He even compared it to that of Celine Dion.

When they were together, Pacquiao mentioned to Hill that he sings to his children every night.

Pacquiao, the fighter, takes on Juan Manuel Marquez in the fall — while Pacquiao, the crooner, faces equally stiff competition before he appears on a Billboard chart.

But so far, Hill said, Pacquiao's promotion has consisted only of an occasional plug, which makes the song's success even more unlikely.

"Even if you're Katy Perry or Justin Bieber, you have to work radio like crazy," Hill said. "He hasn't been doing interviews or big publicity events. So it's even more strange that this can be happening. It's just unheard of."

  12. Most untruthful lyrics in Boxing recording artists history.

Didn't he say that he was "undroppable and unknockoutable"?

What about "Can't be touched, Can't be stopped, Can't be moved, Can't be rocked, Can't be shook..."

    He's a lying motherfucker!!

Manny's shitty song is doing way better than anything Roy ever put out. This does not enhance his legacy.

His music success is only thanks to steroids.

If you listen to the chorus when Manny sings "sometimes when we touch" and play it backwards it clearly says "I take lots of steroids".

I might actually spring for the Ortiz/Floyd PPV, if they also premiered a video on the same card, of Floyd singing "Cats In The Cradle" to Floyd Sr..

..............or are you still talking about the Manny song. :nono:

I'd rather have that implanted in tiny speakers in my cochlea and looped for all eternity than sit through all of the great escape.
