i was gonna mention lamont peterson as a replacement, but given the fact that his last fight was only like two or three weeks ago, it's probably not likely he'd even consider taking it.
I don't know why, but I had a feeling this fight was too good to be true. More so with the date than anything else, although my prediction was that Maidana would've pulled out of the fight. Schaefer is talking about moving the undercard fights to their planned Sept 16 pre-Floyd/Ortiz show.
FUCK!!!!...I didn't know about this fight till yesterday I was hype for it..and thinking Maidana isn't scared of competition....
WTF! Wow. I may not recover from this. Like X, I was hanging my hopes on this fight to save an otherwise shitty summer of boxing. You know what? It just occurred to me - this happens often enough that promoters should be held accountable for providing back-up fights. Suddenly, HBO will not have been worth my money for the month. That's fucking bull-shit.
