Wolfe has serious issues. Personally and professionally. Professionally, Kirkland isn't going to learn a damn thing doing what he is doing in sparring. Herbie Hide used to do that with his partners and we know how that panned out.

Personally, Wolfe just strikes me as being badly adjusted. She seems to have a lot of holes in her life. She always seems to be fronting over something. Maybe she heard that Caster Semenya has a bigger clit than she does. Who knows.

 

Some Trainers R of the Opinion that if U PRACTICE/SPAR @ Half Speed, U'll PLAY/FIGHT @ Half Speed...Wolfe is 1 of those Trainers...Whether it's "Right or Wrong" Remains to B Seen, as Kirkland is UNDEFEATED w/Wolfe, Against a Decent Crop of Fighters...

Personally, What U SEE is what U GET from Ann Wolfe...Her T.V. Persona is GENUINELY Who she Is...Though Very Nice & Accomodating, Ann Also has a Clear EDGE to her...And a POTTY Mouth...

I have no problem with people training as they see fit. Nigel Benn, for instance, never used to spar, at all. He preferred to hammer himself into shape instead doing floor exercises etc. His attitude was that he wasn't going to spar with the same intensity that he fought, and his sparring partner wasn't going to fight with the same intensity as his upcoming opponent, so why bother.

But what does Kirkland hope to learn from bashing a defenceless sparring-partner in the face?? Spar hard, by all means, but there is nothing gained from hitting defenceless people. Might as well do an extra few rounds on the bag.

I'm not for banning people usually, but he was becoming reallly annoying, always repeating the samee 2 shit (ufc, floyd) over and over again. Anyway, the guy was clearly trying to get banned

The only thing that was really out of place is when he his the guy when he asked for a break, but that seemed more like a spur of the moment thing than something delibarate. It's not like the sparring partner didn't knew how hard kirkland goes in sparring, and he was also throwing hard shots at kirkland

 

I don't see the big deal as his opponent didn't seem to pull any punches and seemed to know what he was getting into. As REED said, that's how it is with Wolfe and Kirkland, if fighters don't want to spar that way, they just need to stay home and wait for another camp to call them.

 

I agree with the basic tenet....this is not a tea-party, its not a picnic....but there does come a point where no advantage is gained by hitting a guy who is clearly offering up less and less in the line of a competitive spar. It looks bad and no advantage is gained, so why bother? Might as well switch to the heavy bag at that point. It merely adds to the already well-established impression that Kirkland is just a front-running bully.

Yes, I know, I was just adding that even if it was considered fair-game, where is the point to doing it? You can throw free, cheap shots at the punch bag, and a punch bag is one-off purchase. No need to pay it €300 a week. Then again James never struck me as the brightest dude.

I like a fighter who spars hard like that....and I like a fighter that genuinely wants to KO his opponent. You think Tyson didn't abuse his sparring partners????

 

Abuse is just that. Abuse. It suggests using something for what it wasn't originally intended. I have no problem with hard sparring. No problem. But if the sparring partner is basically past it, can't offer up any more resistance, where is the point???

 

Not surprising that Kirkland is not progressing and got his ass knocked out by some bean pole scrub. Sparring is supposed to be work, not just beating the shit out of some helpless novice. How do you get better when the guys you're sparring are obviously not even close to your level? Where are the videos of Kirkland getting good work? If this is how his sparring always is, the guy will never improve. Love the "Kirkland Spars a heavyweight" Video. Did they just walk down the street and grab the first fat dude they could find? That guy has no business in there.
