no doubt it is legit, but also there are ways to help that involve the mind and not pumping drugs into people

 

most people suffering from a major depressive condition need at least SOME type of medicine for nothing more than to alleviate the physical symptoms... it is nigh impossible to start in with psychotherapy, physical activity, confrontation of various underlying issues, etc. if you are puking your guts out everyday from Anxiety attacks and you feel completely exhausted and drained 24/7... the RIGHT medicine can alleviate many of those physical symptoms, allowing the sufferer to do the necessary cognitive work needed for long-term management of the illness

 

So the mind is the brain.
So then, why not call depression a physical illness?
The brain is a bodily (physical) organ.
How is a physical illness (like diabetes or high blood pressure) diagnosed?
