Theres no way that fight should have been called a NC. I'd like to know how the fuck weed is a performance enhancing drug?

Kind of reminds me of an article I read. Before the Leonard-Hearns rematch, Hearns and Steward accused Leonard of being on the juice.

The NSAC said they didn't test for steroids, but for other substances (like cocaine and weed).

Apparently to the NSAC, steroids wasn't worth testing for, but the amazing PED known as cannabis was.

nothing, I mean nothing, can get a guy in better shape for a fight than sitting back with some Doritos and smoking a fat blunt... Ray Arcel taught me that back when I used to spar at Gleason's in 1944

    I know this game, brother

Weed should be taken off the banned substance list, it's ridiculous to consider it performance enhancing in any way. I know this is the boxing forum, but Nick Diaz also tested for weed and had a win changed to a NC. It was his fight with Gomi.

  18. whiskey

    whiskey Czarcasm

Yeah it's pretty stupid. My guess is it got on there in the first place simply because it's an illegal substance, not because anybody believes it's performance enhancing. (could be wrong though)

I don't think you even need to even remove it from the banned substances list, just don't bother testing for it.

No. He got hooked on Morphine after being severely injured in the Pacific in WW2. Hollywood made a movie which made him out to be some sort of a drug-addled bum.

Bruno was on the anti-depressants, I never heard of him being a coke fiend. Calzaghe and Hatton both snorted like Shergar.
