If Zaveck sticks around, I can see this being a tough fight for Berto down the stretch.

 

Meldrick Taylor had legit technical skills, Max. Berto does not.

What the hell do these guys see in Berto???? He looked worse than he usually does...not better. The guy got hit with ALOT of punches and still doesn't move his head. Berto is far from top tier.

 

he's a top five welter, and zaveck appears to be a top 10 type. take that for whatever its worth

 

i like berto. he's fun to watch at least. he could fight randall bailey next. i'm sure he'll win easily though.

 

Zaveck is the most average fighter in the world. Everything about him is average. Thus we saw that Berto's athletic abilities are well above average, yet his defensive techniques are well below it.

 

That's what I planned on when I predicted Berto W12, pity the cut ended it.

I take solace from the fact that Zbik and Zaveck at least inherently are no worse than two of the bigger names state-side. Felix-Sturm for the Facebook Generation, as it were.

 

Zaveck came to fight and came to win. His guard is strong, his chin is good and is an accurate puncher. I would like to see a rematch.

 

What's startling is that three non-punchers in Zbik, Zaveck and Felix Sturm have come to America and given outstanding accounts of themselves by the mere dint of putting on gutty, technically proficient performances.
