much as i like bradley and think he's a lot better fighter, he would have problems with bertos size. i think its a close fight
I'd actually pick Berto here. But it has more to do with styles, than him being much better. Timmy the head has a much higher ring IQ than Berto, and better skills. However, Berto has big edges in size, handspeed, and power which would carry the day. Plus Timmy doesnt have the firepower to dent Berto's mediocre chin. Whats more is, the way Bradley ducks in sometimes I could see Berto landing his money punch, the right uppercut. Its a competitive fight though. And if Timmy beat him, it wouldnt be much of a shock. Both of them more less are homeless man's Meldrick Taylor's.
Its not so much Berto's size that would be problematic for Timmy. Its Berto's handspeed. And while Timmy isnt AS hittable as Berto, he's still hittable.
While I agree that due to styles, Berto would have more success that he should have, I'm very confident Bradley would win. He's simply a much, much better fighter with more skill and ring savvy, and it's not like he'd be at a huge size disadvantage, Berto is small-ish at welter.
I think it's a great matchup because it would be all ACTION, with Berto having more punching power, busy and the natural welter and Bradley being the slicker of the two. Bradley has a pretty good beard and I don't think he has the power to KO Berto. Being the fight would be at 147, Berto by UD. Take it to the BANK.
I'm with you and think the disparity in skills is such that I voted Bradley wins by KO. Bradley has shown me a hell of a lot more than Berto and Bradley doesn't have the physical gift of hand speed that Berto does.
