Andre Berto - Remove his hand speed and not only does he fall out of the top 10 welter weight but he probably doesn't ever make it on a televised card except as some no name opponent.


Tito Trinidad - Remove his punching power and I think he still had the talent to make most of his title defenses at welter weight because he was out boxing most of the guys he beat anyway. However I doubt he's as successful at 154 and he likely would have lost to Vargas.

 

earnie shavers - take away his punching power, and Karl Mildenberger would beat him 15-0, Tye fields wins 12-0, and Arreola TKO 1.

However, I am not sure about the strength of the general argument. Boxing is all about taking one talented aspect and making a career out of it. We could just as easy say "add one talent to a fighter and re-rate his place"

Anyways, for me, take the sheer mindless bravery of Vito Antuofermo away from him and what do you get? A club-footed, cut-prone, no power bum.
