Vitali says he plans to stick around for the next 5 years or as long as his body lets him.

Who is this young buck you guys got coming through??? Will he and Vitali....meet in the centre of the ring???

Wilder, thats the kid. Deontay Wilder. Might as well be Gene Wilder.

steroids make you stronger, they dont in anyway increase your ability to take an ass beating

Corrie Sanders was a pretty good heavyweight...Adamek can punch..enough to discourage Morrison....etc...etc...IF you fight VITALY you become SPECIAL....

Adamek wouldn't have beaten Morrison except one time out of 5. Try not to believe everything you see in MM. It's smacktalk for people who don't like smacktalk.

I never said Sanders was a "pretty good" anything. I said he was tall, fast, powerful and gutsy and dangerous. A decent dangerman. My broader point was really quite simple: following the general logic, the consensus logic, it seems the HW division since 1990 has not been any more than one fight or one fighter away from rock-bottom.

Sanders-Rahman-Lewis was the example I quoted but there are others. Moorer vs Foreman is the pre-eminent example, Bruno-Lewis-McCall-Bruno-Tyson is another.

Nobody, NOBODY, has every laid Shannon Briggs out like a the cheap carpet Vitali was supposed to. Against Lewis, he blew himself out, Lewis didn't exactly shower himself in glory in that fight. I alluded to how the guy built himself up on the roids into a pretty tough punch-bag. He was well-shy of 40 years of age. Supposed puncher, supposed pure-puncher George Foreman never did anything like the sort of damag Vitali did. Thats all I said.

I never said Briggs was the stuff of an ATG resume. I said not KO'g the guy wasn't really any knock, especially when you had done everything else.

If you want to, you can take it further and ask yourself why Ring Magazine went so far as to use Margaret Goodman to deliver an indictment of Vitalis competition, rather than sit down and discuss the matter openly. Using Goodman to lend a veneer of medical respectability to a pretty biased opinion is cheap.

especially ridiculous viepoint for Ramonza considering his love of the wrestling-while-standing-up styles of the Jeffries/Corbett/Fitzsimmons days and the laughably terrible punching technique clearly in evidence in all available footage of the era

Even if they did, who cares? Superstar != ATG. The Klits are probably superstars in germany. What does that mean?

He is an absolute sitting duck for a quality rival. His vulnerabilities are as gargantuan as he is.

Wlad, though no great himself, is a MUCH better fighter.

Yes, they could become alltime greats, and maybe already are. They blow, and they win only because a "good big man beats a good little man". They suck at boxing, but I think its mostly because they never had to learn to box, they just have to learn and refine the skill of staying outside and jabbing their midget opponents into submission. But yeah they have ammassed relatively good resumes, and despite Wlad getting brutally KTFOd everytime he gets hit, and Vitali not being able to throw an amateur level punch, they will be remembred as some sort of ATG.

Collectively, the Klitchkos have faced 1 proven alltime great, and it lasted a total of six rounds before ending in a L.

A much smaller Briggs? LOL. A much younger and more in shape Briggs, not with 40 lbs of fat, steroid muscle, and estrogen bloat.

Lennox couldn't stop Briggs?! He pancaked Briggs, he was out on his feet when he got up from that shot, the ref stopped it because Briggs fell over just trying to throw a punch. You are a fucking idiot if you think that fight would have gone the distance.

But with an extra inch of bone density, including around his monsterous skull - Pacquiao style.

Speaking of skulls,.. how's yours?.. :crafty: ...it is a beautiful shape, very familiar.

Briggs was shit enough when Lennox KO'd him

He was a corpse when Vitali beat him

It's a show of how pathetic the opposition is that Briggs is one of Irish/Kauki's biggest selling points

    Nobody's buying

  21. KaukipRrr

    KaukipRrr "Twinkle Toes" McJack

Whoa, now who's paranoid?... I did not say Briggs was a good opponent,.. infact it's probably Vitali's worst opponent since coming back,... I was talking about the HGH syndrome shared by Pacquiao and Briggs alike.

The trouble is,.. had Vitali not come back,.. Wlad would still have heaps of competition remaining,.. if you consider all of Vitali's comeback opponents, and the other half of opponents Wlad has fought,.. that's not a 'weak' division really,.. there's been plenty to fight,..

This is partially it. Nobody was knocking Briggs out. Briggs wasn't knocking anybody else out, for that matter......but nobody was taking him out. Briggs was always a tard but he was a hard-tard. You get that HGH and creme into him and he basically becomes a big punch bag. Yet these tards at this forum come along and tried to make out that I said he was the 2nd coming of Foreman.

Just for what it is worth.....Foreman lost to Briggs in 1997. Foreman beat Moorer in 1994.

Oh, Oh, how much can change in such a short space of time. Without anyone even noticing.

  23. cdogg187

    cdogg187 GLADYS

it's not a particularly GOOD division either

Irish brings up Briggs all the time as a means to somehow link his performances in 1996 with performances in 2009 as if they are of the same quality... they aren't... Briggs was pretty much 95% hype when he was in his prime, well over a decade before Vitali decisioned him... it's a WORTHLESS victory, about as meaningful as Berbick W10 Ali

  24. cdogg187

    cdogg187 GLADYS

    Foreman arguably beat Briggs

Briggs was dropped three times by Lennox

Briggs was in his "prime" at that point

Wlad would have knocked Briggs out, because he can punch

the "HGH made Briggs unknockoutable" theory has no basis in reality

  25. Irish

    Irish Yuge, Beautiful

He was already a hard man to KO. Foreman didn't KO him. Lewis didn't KO him. He was in his prime when Darroll Wilson beat him but Wilson didn't KO him.

And......there are some dudes down at 147 that take this HGH thing much more seriously than you do.

    Just saying......

  26. cdogg187

    cdogg187 GLADYS

for varying reasons... "my opponent will be a slug that I can't KO" is not one of them

Lennox stopped Briggs in 5, dropped him three times, what are you on about?

  27. Irish

    Irish Yuge, Beautiful

How many Lewis opponents have been dropped 3 times and risen to continue the fight?

Mike Grant, who really didn't have anything to offer, and Briggs.

He was eventually stopped when he threw a wild left and corkscrewed himself into the canvas.

Briggs had a chin mate. He had a chin and his HGH regimen didn't do it any harm.

  28. KaukipRrr

    It's a deeper division than those 7lbs apart 'P4P superstar-makers',.. 4 belts a piece below it.

Neurologically, comparing Briggs to that Ali which faced Berbick is just thick. I won't even go into it. It's just thick. Sorry.
