Giggs' goal vs Benfica btw was stunning. Benfica's goal was top stuff too. Great highlights from the citeh/napoli game.

Im still convinced Third Lanark would be a big club in Scotland today if they had continued to exist as they had a large following, were the alternative Glaswegian club to follow if you wanted to avoid the sectarianism of the Old Firm and were good enough to win the Scottish league title unlike the other non-OF clubs in Glasgow. Hut disagrees, but he's wrong :crafty:

Completely off topic, but one of the reasons I like Norwich City is that they'll probably go down in history as the last "small club" to put forth a legitimate challenge for the Premier League title without a large financial backing. Don't know why I've decided to share that with you, but there you go

There's no room for a 3rd way, mate. There's already Partick Thistle, Queens Park & Clyde as non-aligned options and they all withered on the vine. The catchment area of Glasgow's only 2m odd and you already have two teams who would probably fill 80k plus weekly if they were in the Prem. It's two beastly Great Banyans in a small tenement allotment, there's no light beneath for anything but weeds and the odd malformed rhubarb plant (Hearts:atu:).

Interesting fact - Scotland still has the highest per head football attendance of any country on earth, despite a 15% decline in the last 6 years. Nearly 2/3 of whom watch one of the Old Firm on a given weekend. If somebody says they support Queens Park or Thistle in Glasgow the question is 'yeah but who do you really support?'.

Swansea are the Swans (duh )

And the question was who they share a nickname with and who they share a ground name with. Pay attention Jimmy

But Bray's ground name is carlisle grounds? Last time I checked, no premier league club has that ground name, or am I mistaken?
