I was reading your line as I finished it I glanced at the gif in your post.

Cortez looks like somebody who has been just let out for the day and has escaped his handlers.

Wrong.. Floyd had his hands between him and Ortiz. He NEVER 'accepted' the second hug. In fact Floyd had an expression that basically "OK OK... Let's fight."

Mexicans should be ashamed to claim Ortiz as one of their own. First, he pulls one of the most blatant intentional headbutts in boxing history. Second, he kisses Floyd to apologize for intentionally butting him. Third, he acts like he can't get up from the knock down and allows himself to be counted out. Finally, he's all smiles after losing the fight and his championship belt.

The dude is the absolute biggest of bitches.

Ya know... there IS a difference between doing the right thing, or the "good" thing, and then doing something that isn't technically illegal but wrong on so many levels. I mean, do we really believe that boxing should be a "do whatever you can get away with" sport? That's really the moral & ethical standard we fight fans strive to uphold?

I guess when B-hops hammers a fighter's hip while the ref is on the other side, that's "good", too? After all, what else is he supposed to do? The fight is on, should he just sit there? How about that dude on FNF a year or so back who came out of his corner with his hand raised to touch gloves, and the opponent came out of his corner seemingly to do the same, but instead leaped in and threw a left hook that rendered the dude unconscious?

That was good, too, because it wasn't a technical violation of the rules, so what was the guy supposed to do? Touch gloves? The fight is on! It's not his fault the other guy is a bitch who wants to fucking "touch gloves" like some sort of woman, right?

Honestly, I can see how people say that at some point "Alzheimer's" Cortez said "go!" and ended the break from the point deduction (although did not call time in, thus technically this should still be a DQ IMO), so therefore what Floyd did was (perhaps) "legal".

But how in the hell are you going to come here and argue that was what he "should" have done? That it was all fine and good? It's not. It is devious and unsportsmanlike, and Floyd again proves not only that he can stoop lower, but that he is unraveling faster and faster. This guy ends up in jail for sure within 2 years. And he's never going to fight Pac. He is a cancer to boxing, and a guy with the "sKillZ" to pay the bills shouldn't need to hit a man with both hands down because he thinks they are still on an official break in the match.

Floyd should NOT have accepted the last hug with intent to then blast Ortiz as soon as they were done. Just push Ortiz away and resume boxing stance. It is not that difficult, and IMO after all Floyd's bullshit and shenanigans, depriving boxing of a Pac/Floyd fight, etc., he OWES everyone the decency to just win the fight without resorting to base, embarrassing, shameless and dirty tactics.

But Floyd looked like shit in the fight, and he knew it. He also knew what he did was shameful, which is evidenced by his explosion at Merchant as soon as Larry even tries to broach the subject. That's called "guilt" for being an asshole. Floyd fans - did your boy really look happy about his "win"? Was that the type of interview you'd see from a guy who felt proud about his effort & tactics to win the fight? Well then if even Floyd isn't proud of himself, why the hell are YOU proud of him? It's incredibly embarrassing.

Finally, before the posters who think Floyd is actually a great guy for racking up another "W" (no matter what it took) come in and cry about Ortiz: Yes, Ortiz fucked up and shouldn't have kept hugging PBF. It was stupid. Yes, he should not have headbutted Floyd, it was dirty and pathetic. Ortiz has no one but himself to blame. What I am talking about here is expecting better, especially from a fighter like Floyd whose PPV fans have made him rich. Boxing gave Floyd his only way out of McDonald's or prison, and unbelievable riches, and he in return SHITS on boxing and everyone involved in it at every turn, including berating and threatening old men in public. What the fuck?

I hope they finally throw Floyd in jail just so I don't have to see him ever again. He is like a disease.

For some reason I believe that was an act. Why because Floyd just went off for no reason. And then Merchant saying if he was 50 years younger he would kick Floyds ass. Yeah right we all know that wouldn't happen. I'll Holla 5000

    Good question.

Please, give me a break Floyd-ites. You are really going to come on here and rationalize Floyd's hug-n-punch?

"Oh Floyd didn't really 'accept' the hug so it's different...."

    Yeah, OK.

I agree with some of the things you typed, however you don't ever have to see him again. Floyd has never ever held a gun to your head and told you to watch any of his fights. You choose to do so on your own free will. So don't blame Floyd for you watching his fights. Blame yourself. I'll Holla 5000

Dude, you're hilarious. You want Floyd to end up in prison yet brush over the blatant headbutt by Ortiz.

The dirtiest, most illegal, most unsportsmanlike, most desperate, and most criminal act in the fight last night was the headbutt by Ortiz. But somehow you can just simply say "Yeah, I know Ortiz headbutted, but....."

I am far from a Floyd fan. I never have been and likely never will be a fan of Mayweather. That being said, I actually cheered last night when he popped Ortiz. After that disgusting headbutt I was almost hoping Floyd would bite off Victor's ear. But Floyd got his revenge legally, with his fist.

I know that hurts and causes a little burning sensation in the vaginal area of little sissies that hate Floyd so passionately that they can't be objective, but it's the truth.

Again, one guy from last night's bout should be ashamed. One guy from last night's bout should be suspended. One guy from last night's bout should have "guilt" for being an asshole. That guy is Victor Ortiz.

Nope. He waved them back together twice. Floyd doesn't have to make sure the ref is watching before he throws a punch.

Cortez was pretty clear after the fight. He said he waved them back together and said "Let's go". He said Floyd did NOTHING illegal.

But the one thing we do KNOW is that Ortiz could have been disqualified for a clearly dirty and illegal tactic. There is no question or gray area about that. Ortiz launched his head into Mayweather with the sole purpose of causing injury.

Not really. The ref said "Time in."

How do you get DQed when the ref says "Time in."?:scratcher:

Why does Cortez have to be watching?

Just because he loped off to get 50 cents autograph in the middle of a round, doesn't mean the boxers stop punching. :nono:

    The shot was completely legal

maybe in poor taste, but completely legal

anyone who thinks that was an illegal sequence of punches needs their heads examined

U know, I'm just sick of white folks whining and demanding that their white privilege be accepted....fuck Lampley, cocksucker, he needs to be fired too. Emanuel shoulda cracked his racist ass. Now he thinks that u all, all u other good white folks should look to Pedquiao your savior to redeem Ortiz form the bad n_#&#*a. Fuck outta here with that horseshit.

U know black folk just don't have the luxury of delusion that white folks have.

Why's that, 'cause it doesn't line up with your superior white frame of reference? Typical delusional response.

Truthfully, your comment was the dumbest shit ever.

    No substance whatsoever.

    Like I said, delusional.
