Alvarez is a complete FRAUD! It baffles my mind the ppl that think he's something special. He's a disaster waiting to happen. I'm positive that a guy like Lara would have an absolute field day on the fraud ginger, but dont ever count on that fight happening.

Alvarez is exciting to watch, thats about it. He's not an elite talent by any stretch.

I dunno how much Cotto will have left after the Marg rematch, but even the faded Cotto that just fought Mayorga would sodomize Alvarez.

    He's exciting. Not exactly a bad hype, since he's always trading punches. Nobody's saying he's p4p #1.

alvarez isnt much, but he'll make for a huge payday for mayeather jr in a year or two if/after pacquiao and khan fights materialize.

especially if he can somehow win a vacant middleweight title.

Of course Alvarez is dog muck. It should not have taken last nights fight to prove this. He couldn't stop Ryan Rhodes and needed all 12 rounds and a FUNCTIONAL weight advantage to get the better of the epic, and equally pale, Matthew Hatton.

I liked the KO of Bumdomir, not seen too much though since. He probably cuts like hell too.

You guys laughed at me, but I genuinely believe Rios would beat him at 147. I would actually be pretty confident in that.

Alvarez is nothing at world level. Even this 154 pound version of Cotto destroys him easily.

Rios is going to be an awful welterweight though.

I can't see him being too successful at 147 either, I think he's like Hatton in that his style relies heavily on imposing himself physically etc.

But being that Alvarez is possibly a bit drained at 147, I truly believe Rios would still be too much for him.

Alvarez needs to stop chasing after fellow fraud Chavez Jr, and man up to fight Angulo already.

Angulo is nothing special at all, he lost to Cintron FFS, but he'll bash the fuck out of Alvarez, I have no doubt about that.

Alvarez is SHIT, and that stoppage was shit too. Gomez getting stopped was an inevitability at that point I'm sure, but that ref sure as hell wasn't taking any chances.

I guess we know who'll be one of the options for Mayweather next.

Imagine the functional weight advantage Alvarez will have! :O

Wouldn't surprise me to see Alvarez's team try to cash him out against Floyd Jr. Floyd would love that fight, too, huge financial payoff for beating up a bum. I hope it doesn't come off.
