Forgive me but I don't follow the sport from a news stand point the way I used to nor did I waste any of my precious time watching the HBO 24/7's so my question is:

Did Ortiz agree to Olympic testing for his fight against Floyd and if so were the tests administered to both fighters randomly?

Why does that matter Sly? It doesn't, he gets his ass kicked regardless of how he looks again the old ass 'lightweight' , Marquez, 3yrs AFTER this fight shoulda taken place. (u guys and your double standards). Floyd beat the shit out of Pac's nemesis, he'll get the same treatment, and he knows it. He has no intention of fighting Floyd.

There's no reason to think otherwise, despite what those around here have hypnotized themselves to believe.

    None.

it's a pick'em fight. mayweather's slowed down, but he's still really difficult to catch clean. pacquiao's counter punches have been deadly though. i can see him landing a quick left hand counter to hurt floyd, but floyd could also land at will.

i think the pac lovers are so funny.. "he'd beat the shit out of floyd" LOL!

i can't believe anyone really believes that FLoyd is "scared" LOL!!! fighting since he was a kid, undefeated and dominating the sport but is "scared" of pac? LOL!!!

  7. Exactly. These idiots are tiresome.

Yes, he did. Any fighter that faces Floyd has to take the test. Ortiz actually commented on the subject, stating that he wasn't bothered by it, and that he found the 24/7 crew to be far more intrusive.

Here's the interesting thing, though. Any fighter that fights for Mayweather Promotions... doesn't necessarily have to take the test. Question I asked both to his team and to Golden Boy, last year when they were shilling for Travis Tygart, and again prior to this promotion. Was trying to find out if Jessie Vargas (Floyd's protege) is obligated to undergo same treatment and only received "answers" that went sideways.

I still lean towards Floyd but the margin continues to shrink. As I stated when the mythical matchup was first floated - the longer it takes to get made, the more I will like Pacquiao's chances.

I think the fairer question would be if all of Mayweather Promotions' fighters would take the tests if their opponents insisted upon it? I assume the answer to that question is yes. It's probably not financially feasible to pay for the testing for all fighters of all levels at this point. That is more of a sanctioning body or commission reform.

Floyd wants a fair playing field. Steroids give a fighter an unfair advantage. I applaud Floyd for his stance and so should you.

If you really believe Floyd's drug testing has anying to do with the good of boxing, you are out of your mind. If he was doing it for the right reasons he would be talking to the AC's and asking them to change the rules. Period.

I've done a 180. Floyd is a bitch whose afraid of Pacquiao. Speedy fast southpaws who can't hold a candle to Pacquiao have had success against him. Pac will put this faggot in his place. But it will NEVER happen.

  15. It will happen!

    lol

who has "had success against him" :scratcher:

  17. I guess the fact that Judah won two rounds against him, at best, is considered success.

Its a competitive fight. But Floyd has slipped enough for Pacquiao to win a close decision against him.

4-5 years ago I say Mayweather. But as inactive as he is he would have alot of trouble with the speed and HYPERACTIVITY of Pacquiao.

But I don't think this fight happens. The thing is, Floyd COULD beat Pacquiao. But he's not confident enough in himself to take the fight.

This fight will never happen. Ever. Mayweather doesn't want it. He's burned so many bridges that the ONLY thing he can confidently imagine that posterity will judge him favourably by is his precious '0'. Pacquiao is far too much of a risk to that.

Floyd's timing may been off slightly because of the hiatus i don't think he's "vulnerable" in any way. He knocked out the scrub in front of him after winning every round.

Both Manny and Floyd have the styles and tools to trouble each other greatly. Whoever's better is going to win.

Please...Mayweather went from I only want to fight the best, put them infront of me and i will beat them...line 'em up.....as soon as Manny Pacquiao was on people radar...Mayweather started talking that scared shit......EXTRA drug test and SHIT......

Wait for Floyd to show a bit more slippage.. then Pac will suddenly be amenable to the tests.

Or if Manny looks like shit againt Marquez.

"Never mind the tests, it's the fight the fans want to see so lets give it to them"

  25. Perhaps.

Either I don't care what the circumstances are I just want these two fuckers to fight, while they are both at least close to thei rprimes.

For me it will make up for some of the great matchups that never materialized like Lewis-Bowe, Tyson-Holyfield (1991) etc..

Please...that has been Mayweather plan from the start....wait for Pac to slow down just a bit....then he will come out..with the big announcement......

I know logic and reason don't make much of a difference to Pactards, but this is really getting absurd. Floyd is 2 years older than Pacquiao.

  28. ILLUMINATI

    ILLUMINATI Roberto Duran

Because of styles and Pacquiao superior level of competition.....he has taken more punishment than Floyd Mayweather...whose style and great opponent selection has left him nice fresh.....

  29. loadedgloves

    loadedgloves "Twinkle Toes" McJack

First of all, do you really think once Pacquiao gets older, Floyd is just going to drop the testing demand? He isn't going to. Pacquiao will, however, agree to it at some point, and watch for that point to be when Mayweather Jr shows a bit more slippage.

Secondly, reflexes - which Mayweather Jr's style relies on - dull specifically due to inactivity and age. Floyd's style is much more vulnerable to age than Pac's, but even if that were not the case, Pac is, again, younger than Floyd.

Superior level of competition?! LOL. You fucking dunce.

That word is starting to really grate...it isn't big or clever, it's just juvenille and boorish.
