In your obsession to argue with me at all costs you've missed the simple point I was making which is distinct from the point you're now trying to make:

I'm talking about who Floyd is fighting now that he's making a comeback. I'm sayin gthat Ortiz was a sgood a challenge as any not named Pacquiao. Cdogg is saing that Floyd should have fought Tony and Miguel back in the day. I'm saying that this is irrelevant in 2011 when discussing the "bumhood" of Ortiz.

I'm not saying you can't crticize a man for what he's done in his career.

another 45% of his posts are spent agreeing with cdogg187. the remaining 5 are complaints about the current climate of boxing.

real asset to the message board, that guy.

Hopeless discussing anything with you. You have a "I'll disagree with D&D at all costs" mentality.

But he was the best available challenge at 147lbs (Pacquiao already sgned to fight Marquez...Cotto and Marg facing each other).

Marg has been butched by Mosley and Pacquiao anyway so he's irrelevant into today's boxing economy.

Whether you agree with Sly or not, he'll always contribute to a discussion, argue his case and do it courteously. More agreeable qualities than being right, IMO (which is often is, too).

Because it's comforting an e-penis it would have to be software.

I wonder why someone hasn't developed an Android or iPhone app that comforts the user's e-penis. Could be big money in it.

    This is your logic:

Contemporary fighter >= 80s and/or before fighter = Wrong or stupid.

    Great logic pal.

So...let me get this straight...you took the time to look for a pic of some old dude on the web in an attempt at a remarkably not funny "gag" post aimed at me and I'M the one who is obsessed??

And what is also awesomely hypocritical is that you have cried little girl tears when folks make horse jokes at your expense, but then you do stuff like this.

    Poor, poor Stafford...

1st of All, it's UNDENIABLY "Remorseless"...The Act ITSELF Showed Little to NO Regard for Ortiz's "Feelings" OR Well Being...Floyd COULDN'T have Cared LESS about Ortiz & That's what Being "RemorseLESS" is All About...

2nd, Ann Wolfe's Characterization of Floyd was PERFECT; "...he's More of a SCAVENGER than a PREDATOR"...Scavenger's R SNEAKY & Floyd Clearly SNUCK Ortiz...During the Entire Exchange, Floyd's Desire to HURT & FINISH Ortiz, his "Killer Instinct", was VERY HIGH...

Not Sure HOW U Could DENY the Presence of Any of the Qualities REED Listed...Then Again, YOU'RE the Guy that Found the Weigh-In to B "Gay", while BITCHING about Floyd NOT Acquiescing to as MANY Hugs as Ortiz Petitioned For...

3rdly, Any Attempts @ JUSTIFYING W.W.D.D, (What Would Duran Do?), KNOWING he was Arguably THE DIRTIEST Motherfucker in the History of Boxing, Only STRENGTHENS the Growing REALIZATION that Roberto Duran is Probably THE MOST "Nuthugged" Fighter in Fightbeat History...You Want HERO WORSHIP???...You Want Perceptions of INVINCIBILITY???...You Want Built-In EXCUSES for Every Loss of a Career???....You Wanna Hear about a Guy who Supposedly NEVER Lost when he was "Right"???...

Look Nooooo Fuuuuuurther than Most of the Roberto Duran Posts Floating Around Fightbeat...The SAD Part is, REED Loooooooooves the Cat...

You have to admit...it would have been hilarious to see how far under Floyd's skin Duran would have gotten.

Duran would have spit in floyd's face at the weigh in.

I think we both know Floyd wouldn't have raised his hands to Duran's throat.

As far as Floyd's killer instinct, you have to admit it's spotty at best. There's simply no excuse for going the distance with Baldomir.

No Doubt, Floyd would have MAJOR "Security" in CLOSE Proximity to him, During a Duran Weigh-In...

There's NO Argument to B Made, WHATSOEVER, Suggesting Floyd was even the Least Bit MEANER in the Ring than Duran was...& REED Loooooooved that Aspect of Duran...Ditto for Tyson...Basedly PURELY on the Manner in which he Fights, Floyd Mayweather ISN'T on the Same Level of a Duran in this Regard...Duran was Definitely a PREDATOR...

But REED Actually LIKED Seeing that Floyd CAN & WILL Get Down & Dirty Though...He's More CALCULATED about it, but the INTENT is the Same...

Nah..Duran would be winning the fight but I'm not sure he could have handled that adversity: being e-honda butted twice. Takes a tough man to shake that off and then come back and knock the kid out there and then. Takes a guy like Floyd who fought toe to toe with the dangerous and huge Castillo with a bad left shoulder in the first fight and who fought Hernandez with two busted hands a couple fights before.

Mayweather's made of different stuff to the guy who quit after a little supposed stomach cramping or "clown ringing"...or the guy who let himself be flattened in two rounds like a pussy.

I'm honestly not certain Prime Duran even complains to the ref about a headbutt like that, he'd just make him pay for it himself, immediately. Probably burst his testicles on the refs blind side so all Cortez sees is Duran getting headbutted and Ortiz mysteriously crumpling moments later.

But of course Ortiz wouldn't dare headbutt Duran like that, for exactly the above reason.
