What makes your drug addict ass think i was talking to you. Did you suggest Tyson would maul Vitali because he's a bum?

I'll find another thread to highlight your particular dumbass boxing views.

I'd like to point out that this thread features today's Vitali. A 40 year old man.

In their primes, this is a really tough call.

I called it basically a pick-em, you stupid 7-foot rim dunking faggot

Good luck on that search, you won't find anything that you could debate without getting trounced as usual

Maybe if you actually read what other people had to say instead of just marching your 110 pound faggot ass into every thread and saying "anyone who _ _ _ _ is a faggot" or "if you think _ _ _ _ you are a stupid moron" you might actually be considered something other than an unoriginal Free Ike-wannabe with an Imagined Intellect:Actual Intellect ratio of roughly 1500:1

Go idolize your younger brother and put a sweater over Free Ike's head, you twat

Agreed. Tyson anywhere near his peak can't be held back by somebody as fragile as Wlad.

Vitaly opposition is so atrocious that I have a lot of trouble picking him over Tim Whitherspoon calibers of fighter. I think that Tyson rapes him easily. People talk about his reach advantage, well he didn't look so hot against bird, wich was pretty much the same height as tyson

You're a pain in the fucking arse. Seriously, what age are you?

    :nono:

Vitali doesn't like the age question

Mike would be shocked by the audacity of a big cracker hitting him in the face, and would crumble accordingly.

Yes, but Vitali himself reckons the lessons of the Lewis fight onwards have made him a better fighter.

Prime Vitali, the best Vitali, is the physicality of the guy who knocked out Hide and the maturity of the current Vitali. In short, he's had such a long career, in terms of years, that its hard to actually pick a prime. For the purposes of this thread, its irrelevant, we are talking Vitali , today.

Tyson, on the other hand, had such a short prime, and such an underwhelming comeback, that we have to assume his mental and physical peaks were contemporaneous. Prime Mike is the guy who blew Berbick away in one, but its also the Mike who got beat up by Douglas and frustrated by Smith, Green and Tubbs.

I think a prime Mike would struggle with todays Vitali, not because todays Vitali is so good, but because guys like Frank Bruno, who at his best was not very good, were able to hang in there long enough vs Mike, even nailing him clean and hurting him in their first fight.

Mike didn't like guys who were stronger and taller than him or who could frustrate him. Its a hard fight for Mike, vs any Vitali, because Mike would have to take him out early or risk getting frustrated, tied up, and punched in the skull, hard, none of which would be to his liking.

Todays Vitali is bigger, harder, stronger, smarter, and more powerful than an awful lot of guys who went the distance with Mike. I might even like todays Vitali vs James Douglas.

I would go with Mike on points but probably only after a very very good start where he racks up a lead.

Its hard to call. I think Prime Mike was grossly overrated.

Mike wasn't much bothered by taking shots, he was bothered by not being able to land his own.

as would Vitali, quite a few

Vitali's tendency to touch & pitter patter would help him here, I think. Mike had a tendency to reset every time he was hit with anything, rather than come through it (and to quickly get frustrated by his resets).

I know who is going to struggle to land, and it isnt the swift, accurate, 22-year-old. Its the sluggish, amateurish, 40-year-old. Amazingly self-evident by that description.

Look at Klitschkos competition. This is like saying, "I rode my bicycle to the shops easily - now its gonna take me to the moon"

It frustrates me to hear that, to be honest. It is always ascribed as hatred when someone is critical of a fighter - why cant someone ever think of a boxer as legitimately over-rated?

I have said before in many ways the Klitschkos ara credit to the sport. I even had a thread where I said thdey were much preferred by me as champions than another black eye for Boxing like Tyson.

It just so happens I really dont rate either as anything more than good, or just decent, boxers, & Vitali in particular is obscenly over-estimated.

Again, you describe Vitali with attributes that very few attach to him anymore, thus this discussion doesn't really lead anywhere. Also, I think you greatly under-estimate the meaning of size in boxing.

I don't call you a Klitshko hater in fact I agree with you that these days almost any opinion is seen as hate, agenda or bias, and that type of classification kills discussion. It is just that you see Vitali in so different light to almost everybody else that some find it odd

Avoid the 'H' word if you like but the extremity of Ramonza's view betrays more than cold analysis, in my view. After 10 years he still thinks Vitali is qualitatively worse than Tony Tucker or Bonecrusher Smith, for goodness sake.

I fucking HATE (the correct word, I'll make no bones) Joe Calzaghe & his ugly slappy style but I can put him in some semblance of career context (I said he was about as good/great as Winky Wright or Barrera, yesterday for instance).
