What has been the widest scoring margin in a 12 round championship fight?

Discussion in 'General Boxing Discussion' started by Destruction and Mayhem, Oct 4, 2011.

  1. There have a been a few 120-108s and a couple 120-106s

Has there even been a championship card worst that 120-106?

Mayweather Corrales was on it's way to a 120-100 if it wasn't for the stoppage for example.

I saw a 10-6 round once but the fight ended up close on the cards.

  6. It ended up a draw if I remember because one judge chose to score a 3 KD round as 10-7.

  13. My mistake for mentioning Floyd...giving abused children like you the opportunity to suggest I have a Mayweather agenda.

Dammit, can't remember the opponent, but Vic Darchinyan won by something like 16 or 17 pts. (120-104 or 120-103) on at least one scorecard. He scored three KD's and his opp had a point or two deducted.

Edit: looked it up - Eric Barcelona

    2010-05-20 117¾ Eric Barcelona 117½ 51-17-5
Leagues Club, Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia W UD 12 12
referee: Garry Dean | judge: Bruce McTavish 120-103 | judge: Steve Marshall 118-105 | judge: Phil Edwards 116-108
vacant International Boxing Organization bantamweight title (supervisor: Phil Austin)
Barcelona down twice in 5th, once in 11th and deducted a point in each of the 6th and 12th

Manny was on his way of having the most lopsided 12 UD victory after the 1st round vs Marquez if he could have just avoided losing most of the remaining 11 rounds.

Sly, I suggest you get a membership to cheggit.net. There are some entertaining visuals of an African-Canadian female bodybuilder there who has your face. I'm not sure why Hanzy did it, but you're famous, baby.

The fucked up thing is how Phil Edwards came up with such a disparate scorecard. Did he give a couple of rounds to Eric Barcelona for standing up off his stool?

  25. Seriously? That's just wrong man just wrong.

Jake's post got me thinking...at times there are always 'need more 10-8 rounds'...seems like there was a showbox or showtime fight where a judge went crazy on that idea maybe 6 years ago...

anyway, here's a decent one...Hearns over Delgado...and Hearns went down in rd 1...judge: Leo Johnson 117-104
