Still i wouldnt expect a boxer no matter how good they are, to win on the round i went for, just cause the other boxer is rubbish. safe bet would been just knock out by martinez.

 

That's why it's called betting. You place money on predicting a certain outcome to gain more money....

Martinez was odds on for the KO/TKO. No point at all in betting on that. Why bet £10 to win £14, when you can bet £10 and possibly win £100. Worth the punt imo.

not to kick a man while he's down but it is a long ask to expect to hit the exact KO round on the nose. here we had 1/2 odds for Martinez by KO, bet 10 to win 5 - that's a great payoff people would kill for a stock or mutual fund that would pay 50% return. put 10 on martinez by ko, then 5 on ko in the 5th round and you break even at worst and hope to land it big in round 5.

I never consider backing at odds on AND on an exact round, but I will do in future.

 

Now that's a FAR, FAR bigger ask to me ointlaugh:

 

i still thinks hes quality fighter, he smashed up williams, who at the time people were raving about, i still thinks he can shake up super middle weight division, he just needs to move up rather than going for mayweather and manny. he has great hand speed and power.

 

But he's not difficult to hit and at the bigger weight could spell disaster.

Only people i see that might be a struggle would be Ward and Froch, for their awkward styles, and he still could beat both of them.
