It's pretty sick imo, most fights are pretty even and intriguing match ups. The free Spike bouts are really good.
Once cain is healthy and the strikeforce brand is finished. you will see a big heavyweight boom in the UFC. They are already bringing werdum, overeem, hopefully Cromier and Barnett. That along with santos, cain, lesnar, carwin should be a fun few years.
Werdum ? Really ? They are ? That guy should not fight for UFC after 1. Us seeing that his Fedor win was not that big of a deal since Fedor lost to everyone else recently. 2. His fight with Overeem. That was a disgrace and I'm really surprised Dana would hire him after such a "performance" .
and I think it's a very bad thing. IMO, it was one of the reason( focusing on bigger weight class ) MMA had so much momentum vs boxing
The Stann-Sonnen match is interesting. I'm not sure how this one goes. Stann has really improved his take down D but Sonnen is a different animal.
Frankie Edgar is the man. That dude is unreal. I would absolutely love to see Edgar-Aldo at 145 or 155. Great fight and great card.
In the post fight interview Chael Sonnen starts by saying: "Anderson Silva absolutely sucks." LOL.. He then called for a rematch and challenged Silva to a side bet. If Sonnen wins, Silva has to leave the division. If Silva wins, Sonnen will leave the UFC. Great stuff.
Sonnen is just having fun acting like a pro wrestler with the comic book tough guy routine. He would be one of my favorite fighters right now if he hadn't acted like a pro wrestler in the juice way. He looked like he was still very much on the stuff last night, too. Oh, and if he can look that way without juice then what business did he have being on it before?? Either way, Fuck Sonnen.
Yeah the dude is a real mystery. His wrestling is so good but now you will always wonder how much of it has to do with cheating. I want to like him because he is all business in the cage. He just comes out and imposes his game regardless of the opponent. But in reality, he's a complete douche bag. He cheats in MMA via TRT. He cheats in life via the money laundering bust. I think he's honestly the best guy in the division but I just can't pull for him.
