My only beef with Huts template is that its easy to take a big-name fighter and fuck them around on the scales or with the scheduled distance or any of that and really reduce the risk they pose, or the level at which they can perform.

Nobody denies that JMM is an outstanding fighter of the past 10 years.

But he's nobody at 144, especially when its his first time there and his opponent is much heavier and used to it.

Another example of this would be when Mickey Walker arranged the Tiger Flowers fight to be 10 rounds only. A longer fight would have suited Flowers much more, as he could have ostensibly worn Walker down.

Toneys ass whipping of Ruiz was OK, sometimes it is fitting to see effort and spunk put firmly in its place by proper skills. Too bad James was Ster/Oids.

Minami definitely seemed suckered in by the distance illusion the lean creates. He's gauging distance by looking at Little's head (still the relevant distance offensively) but as far as Little's jab goes the relevant distance is where Freddie's left foot is. His head is behind his centre line, over the back foot, but his left hand is where it would be anyway over the foot. Little doesn't have to step in nearly as far as Minami feels like he does (or as far as Minami does with his own jab). Nice.

Although the fight only lasted two round it makes me wonder how long it would taken for Minami to not get hit with so many left hands had Freddie decided to retire his right.
