    seriously?

you don't believe this is true?

right off the top of my head, Archie Moore goes on and on about Lloyd Marshall, Nate Bolden, Jimmy Bivins, etc. in his book... he beat every one of those guys... the name Ezzard Charles never appears when he gets down to discussing the best guys he faced, who hit him the hardest, etc... he was beaten with room to spare three times by Charles

I guess...only if you're working under the premise that asking a guy to support what he says is "queer."

Let's recap once again for those keeping score. We've learned the following:

    1. don't believe fighters words in respect to who hurt them

exception: only applies when it doesn't coincide with cdogg's position

    2. cdogg has a better radar for how hurt guys are which negates point #1 and applies when the exception is in play

    3. If cdogg makes a statement it's "queer" to solicit evidence supporting his opinion. This supercedes points 1 and 2

    What have I left out?

for the first, I explicitly stated that this is NOT the case

Mosley was clearly hurt by Forrest, for example

he never appeared hurt or in trouble at any time against Vargas

It's queer to be so clueless as to not be aware of this completely obvious , oft-repeated trend in boxer's recounting their careers

You could stop there and probably be about 75% accurate, let alone when it comes to something like who hurt them.

Fighters are never hurt by their opponents when they lose.

They had distractions, shitty training camp, pre-existing injury etc. :boohoo:

Tex Cobb seems to tell it like it is but i wouldn't be surprised if he said others guy hit harder than Shavers if Earnie managed to knock him out.

Yeah but we're talking about fighters in fights they win. Apparently they're never hurt or inclined to lie about it.

Yeah but it's the opposite in just a fighter trying to make themself look better. I don't know whether or not Mosley was truely hurt in the Vargas fight. I don't recall seeing it but that doesn't mean he's lying either.

"I was hurt and came back, i'm a warrior".

Just about every time you see a post fight interview with the loser and the question comes up "Were you ever hurt in the fight?"

Answer: "No, never, he never hurt me"

On the other hand the same question give to the winner:

"Yeah he hit me with some really good shots. There was a body shot in in round X that really hurt me. However i trained hard and persevered"

Again, this had nothing to do with Shane. It's just something we've seen countless times in boxing.

And include the degree in which the guy was hurt.

Cdogg's problem is he initially said he never saw Mosley hurt then win a fight. I offered a fight then he responds that Shane is lying like countless other fighters have lied.

In essence he's arguing the other side simply to argue.

Truth is it goes both ways. Guys get buzzed and win even in fights it looks they're in complete control. I watched Roy Jones vs Merqui Sosa the other day...granted it was a premature stoppage but Sosa clearly buzzed Roy with a shot...Roy fired back shortly there after.

BTW...cdogg still has 99 left to list.

Do you mean according to the fighter(s)?

What about if one guy hit another guy so hard that his head was literally severed from his spinal cord and shot 50 feet into the crowd?

If somehow there was a surgical staff on site that could miraculously sew his head back on and have him coherent enough to do an interview you'd probably hear "he didn't hit that hard"

"I get hit harder in the gym every day. Tonight i just felt really tight, i couldn't get into a rhythm".

Clearly that guy wasn't hurt. The nerve endings died when the head was severed.

    Don't be silly.

    think this through carefully

you offered Mosley BASED ON HIS TESTIMONY, which I then pointed out is EXTREMELY biased if the recountings of 99.9 % of fighters EVER are to be taken into consideration

you took me up on it by asking me to name 100 examples of fighters casually overlooking being hurt by guys WHO BEAT THEM while being quick to sing the praises of guys who FAILED TO DO SO

This is the first time you are hearing of this phenomenon? It is almost GUARANTEED to happen any time a fighter is ever asked about his opponents... the guy he beat "was the best I ever fought" and "hit me so hard, I thought I was in Atlanta, even though I was in Houston" ... meanwhile, the guy who kicked his ass either doesn't get mentioned or it is "What people don't realize is that I went into that fight with only one day of training, I was injured in a car accident so I couldn't get in shape. I don't make excuses, but at my best I owuld have beat him, he wasn't that good" ... happens all the time, and you could find WAY MORE than just 100 examples

cdogg says mosley never came back from being hurt in a fight to win. Im waiting for him to tell us which fights mosley was hurt in, aside from the first forrest bout.

Even if Mosley says he was hurt, he won't believe it.

Best of both worlds for him.

    there is no requirement

there is only a requirement if you are totally clueless about this simple fact of life in this sport... fighters LIE all the time about this particular topic more than any other

losing badly to mayweather jr and pacquiao is one thing, but if mosley ever looks inept or quits against the likes of pestraiv and bojorquez let me know.
