Berto has been feeding on 140 pounders for years...

Regardless Berto vs. Bailey could be a decent undercard fight somewhere.....If it's the main event whoever is broadcast should be shot in the head...

Then it's a perfect undercard fight on a PPV....Berto is not an awesome talent...if anything Bailey could score a knockdown or two...

Bailey is shot, and was NEVER that good to begin with.

Berto will end it early, and it'll prove NOTHING.

    Cherry picking Hatian fraud!

Berto's fights are entertaining win or lose, I've enjoyed watching him, fuck the high-rolling p4p shit.

Yeah, when it comes to Berto he does do his part to make entertaining fights. Having no idea how to box and not knowing how to defend you'd think the guy would be even more popular.

Anyway, the problem here is if Bailey has anything left to put up his end of a what could be a good fight. Most here doubt it and if Bailey is as shot as everyone keeps saying then Berto once again deserves to be vilified for his consistent cherry picking and safety first approach.

Berto's balls are attached directly to his heart, he could ejaculate his wife full of blood and make hordes of vicious demons like those half-spider bully boys that protect the king in mortal combat. He might be second up the index but he's still the coolest one.

can't really blame berto if he's not the one making decisions. it's quite ingenius if you think about it. he fights an easy opponent in bailey and makes hbo money.

It's tough out there for a professional prize-fighter who doesn't know how to box. People should be more understanding. What's he supposed to do? Fight top competition and risk losing...again?

If he didn't just reup on a new title belt I would see your point. Seeing as how he just did the answer is yes. Fighting top competition is exactly what he's supposed to do. He can't have it both ways by claiming he's still a learning prospect on one hand and wearing a championship belt on the other.

I was being sarcastic. I think every fighter who makes hundreds of thousands a dollar or more per fight should be fighting nothing but the next best available fighter. But because of TV networks and promoters wanting to control everything, and fans' willingness to watch, and in many cases be entertained by (see RJJ fans' celebration of RJJ/Hall), garbage fights, the economics have been perverted such that the more a fighter earns for his fights, the less incentive he has to take on good fighters.

    But! The Media! :wack:

Its a joke. The talent pool is too shallow and the proliferation of titles is too rampant

Back in 1999, Berton would have been eaten up, shat out, and then stepped in, then wiped off, then forgotten.

7lb divisions, 4 titles a piece are greatness makers,...:nono: they do the trick.

And Berto may be the preliminary boss in the division, but he's still the coolest one. :pissed:

He was going to fight and bash up Mosley, but Haiti knows earthquakes like Floyd knows boxing.

I know. I just didn't care. Such is my hatred of the guy I had to vent when given the opportunity, real or imagined.

I see you've found another cause to get behind. Now it will be the support of one overrated (in the exciting department) fighter named Berto. Good for you.

Bailey was doing the IBF eliminator thing and earned a shot. Get it over with and move on. This isn't Berto's fault.

I still have hopes that the Freddy Hernandez win will prove to be a quality win when this is all looked back upon.

Berto is a very good fighter with some superb talent. I haven't seen him rated in any p4p list or anything like that. And he's (mostly) an American. Leave the guy alone. It's not like we can afford to disparage one of the few remaining American boxers with a pulse.

Berto is gonna dominate Bailey, then get another shot at a top guy, get dominated then fight another bum, look good, then fight a u and comer, get dominated then retire

Of course. They picked the fighters for the eliminator(s) and Bailey fought.

Who else should get blamed--Berto for wanting to keep his belt? Before anyone says yes, I am calling you a stupid fuck in advance if that is your answer.

:nono: Lib four Lib do you really find Berto fights boring?.. Atleast you know my criteria for what I like,.. you remain peering in the shadows skittering around for things to pounce upon,...
So what is it you like?... who's not overrated as far as a good tear up goes?,... you're not a high-roller are ya?.. :nono: You may have the same niggles for Berto that I do for Froch,.. Froch fights are ok, but I don't like him nor want him to suceed because he's an arsehole,..but what's wrong with Berto??.. he's not a press-release queen, why do you want him to die,...

    :crafty: it's because he's not a high-roller, p4p4p4p4p4p4p '0' ....

...I knew it, I just knew it.

Indeed, the IBF (as well as the other straps) is bogus.

    Also, fuck you.

What are you talking about? The IBF, like Floyd Mayweather only want what's best for boxing.
