How about it? Two limited, yet exciting contenders who perenially came up short against the best of their time (who were greats, to be fair).

    Ruddock. Shavers. Twelve rounds.

This wouldn't go 5 rounds, no matter what

Shavers has a shot, but I'd favor Ruddock, he was more durable overall

Well the first thing is that it wont go 12 rounds, naturally.

Could go either way by KO in the first 4 rounds. I'd pick the Ruddock of the Tyson fights to finish Shavers in 4.

Pointing out a fighter at the end of his career...is weak. Why am I not surprised??

What's awesomely retarded about you is that you KNOW boxing is currently shit...but your "I love the Klitschkos" bias makes you say shit like this.

Can't say that I am surprised that you are acting like a jackass.

Let's not. I don't have much use for folks who think telling the truth is merely an option.

What? I was more alluding to Shavers place in the "1970's" division where he scored big wins over Norton, Ellis, Bugner should make him a favourite over guys like Ruddock, surely? You're not suggesting that a puncher from a weaker division beats Shavers are you?

with Shavers, you are dealing with a fighter who had an abnormal risk/reward factor... Shavers ridiculous punch made him almost always extremely dangerous, but his shaky chin (though he did have heart) and his unquestionably sub-par stamina made him unusually vulnerable... it is simply ilogical to say "no one from the 90s could beat anyone from the 1970s" which is why NO ONE HAS SAID THAT... It is equally illogical to conclude that the 1990s is a better decade for the heavyweight division because there are some matchups here and there that favor the 1990s fighter

Yes I know this, its true....I was merely making the point that it was odd for people to be choosing against ANY fighter from that vaunted era, its gotten so that Ron Stander is probably now a 1-10 favourite against Wlad.

It has in no way gotten to be that way, let's be serious here

The criticism (completely justified) of Wlad has not gone so far that anyone here has ever in a million years suggested that Ron Stander could compete with him

The worst thing about reading your posts is that I KNOW you are not stupid enough to actually believe most of the stuff you write.

It's a shame...because if you ever decided to actually post about boxing rather than propaganda, I would probably really enjoy discussing the sport with you.
