the last fight was a terrific bout... Linares boxed neatly, DeMarco found the resolve to finally dig down and let those hands go... a brilliant ending... neither man has a thing to be ashamed of
:: A fight is a fight... Linares boxed nicely, he has some flaws, but he was doing the job and it looked as if Demarco simply lacked the commitment to use what he had to go after those loopholes in the defense... but he finally put something on it and came up with a dramatic stoppage win, an upset to boot, all those elements make for a nice match
I always do. Its the poor fights, the average match-making, guys like Holt plodding around, against a guy who couldn't put away his prick, much less a fighter as disinterested as Holt. All the chums at ringside. Oh man what a fucking scene.
i thought linares moving too much was gonna cost him later. demarco was constantly aggressive and it paid off in the later rounds. despite losing, linares was still landing some furious combos. perhaps it wasn't great, but i enjoyed it.
:: :: I just hope Dawson comes out and treats this 46 year old like what he is, a 46 year old. All the vials in the world shouldn't make a shit of difference if Dawson does what he is capable of. He needs to treat this guy with the utmost lack of respect.
If he had more power he wouldn't have needed to move so much. I don't know his gameplan was to fire and move, but it didn't seem like had much choice anyway.
I've watched fights all evening......two in England and the entire card from Staples.....and I've never been more bored.
He has a sort of poor man's Camacho, but he's not of Camacho's class skill wise, and obviously not as durable... you can dominate without a punch, but you can't have big defensive flaws
the first round is a michrochasm of the bout... get used to this... Dawson being implored to let the hands go, Hopkins slowing the pace to a crawl, the guys with the pencils rack their brains trying to figure out who won
