Lampley, Merchant, and Steward are a bunch of old, tired, whiny geezers. Lampley's bias and behavior toward his fellow broadcaster, Steward, was disgusting. So much so that I thought Emmanuel should've called him on it. But he was the professional. And we all know the only thing Merchant gives a shit about in a boxing match is someone getting their brains splattered on the carpet, as long as they're aren't his. Nuance and strategy are foreign and repugnant to him. And Steward just seems freaking brain dead at times. I really expected more from him, seeing as how Ortiz was head butting Floyd repeatedly before Mayweather put an end to that shit. It's either legal, or its a suckerpunch, you can't have it both ways. Not to mention, Lampley and Merchant have never fought a day in their freaking lives... Ahhh, the joys of white privilege... Anyways, where Roy Jones, and Lennox Lewis when you need them? Somebody, anybody but these morons. Man, i'll be glad when the 18th gets here, so i can stop watching this shit On Demand.
hey Steve_Dave, I will see you at the international white guy conference next wednesday at the masonic temple! *wink, wink*
Actually Merchant was a marine and I believe a very good football player before he became a journalist. As crazy as he sounds I'm sure he would not back down if a fighter threw one at him for getting them pissed. I am not crazy about Manny, when he favors a fighter I found he gets repetitive about the reasons why he is jocking the fighter during a fight and repeats himself round after round after round.. Lampley is very knowledgable about many sports, he knows his stuff. Max is very knowlegable too. But HBO does have their party line and I noticed during fights that HBO crews review the rounds on their moniters from a round before often together and in a way this sort of inflkuences them tocome to a consensis on what they saw..if you know what I mean. GS
Well 'Farrod' sure chose the right one,.. I'd have hate to have seen what you would have done to him if he said something else.
Yeah dogg, I happened to see the advertisement over on Stormfront myself. Looks like it'll be a real wang dang doo... Enjoy.
Whether or not he would back down is irrelevant. He would just be smacked down, is all. The point is, he was unprofessional as usual, and his skirt was pulled, and he's been shown to be the hater that we know him to be. He acts as if Pac is waiting with folded arms for May to fight him. Anyone who's honest with themselves can see that this is the furthest thing from the truth. Pac has shown himself content to fight Floyd's victims. Its been going on for years now. Lampley is delusional; he sees things that aren't there, repeatedly. And his professional bias toward certain fighters has grown old. And his condescending schtick trying to convince the viewing public that they should be 'incensed' that Floyd would have the audacity to knock a nukka out in a prize fight and we should all pray to Pacquiao to set things straight was the last straw, for me. Their bias is sickening.

Maybe Tim Wise can work for HBO doing the unofficial scoring..........."OKAY I had Klitschko winning that round 10-9 but he loses a point for white privilege, evening things up on my card. Jim!!!!"
Lampley, Merchant and Steward...ROCK (to borrow a North American term)! Best broadcast team in history.
Well.......he's not of the Tribe if Israel, we can more freely insult him. Poor Max. The Yid Who Never Did. I wonder if he doesn't dream about being a real man some day, instead of a jumped up disc-jockey with nothing else to do except shit on the honest efforts of real men? Jim Lampley: "Oh hey how about that quick left hook to Calzaghes nuts, Max"? Max: "Superb, Jim". Manny: "And thats just what I was gonna say" Lederman: "I gotta talk about holding" Larry: "I need a drink".
You gotta admit though,.. when it came to Calzaghe,.. Manny was indeed a ruthless uncle tom, ...he sluuuuuuurped that tiny italian tail harder than the rest of the bench.
The best was last night during Hopkins' ring walk... Lamps talking about how Bernard made him look foolish picking against him vs. Tarver and Pavlik. Then Manny chimes in..."I've never picked against Bernard." ::
Boxing doesn't need new commentators. It needs a new delivery model. Guys like Jim, Manny and Max are simply the warts on the big stinky ass that is HBO, and the whole approach to covering the sport it invented, and that has evolved (or devolved) into a circus show.
Manny is an idiot...Lampley is gong blind and Max walks around with his huge google eyes trying to sound smart. i can't stand these idiots.
For what it's worth, I thought Max did great last night, particularly in his post-fight interview, which was an absolute schooling on how to get the full story as opposed to the biased bullshit Merchant pulled in Floyd-Ortiz. The only issue I had w/ Max last night was when he referred to Linares' talent as "a bit of (Sugar Ray) Robinson". Didn't need to go there. Other than that, he was solid, and I found broadcast far more enjoyable w/o Merchant's miserably grumpy ass bitching about something.
Jim Larry and Foreman was the best. Larry for his insight and honesty. Jim for his charisma and delivery. Foreman for his unpredictability and foolishness.
My main beef with Max is visual...he eye balls are all over the place and he looks like he's scared of his own shadow.
