Not when you consider the facts, which you apparently refuse to do.

You want to have a discussion about this in a vacuum, but we don't live in a vacuum and fighters shouldn't be judged in one.

If you can't understand that, please resist the temptation to respond with insults and hostility.

If the public wants it then they really dont know what they want. Real boxing dont want this fight at welterweight. If the public is demanding it (not sure if this is the case), they have no clue what they are getting.

    Anyway....

Pacquiao should be judged exactly the same way Floyd was judged. STILL....I find it an intriguing fight.

Should a group of experts who know better be responsible for deciding what the public wants? We already have that - it's called liberalism.

I dont think there is this huge demand that you say there is.

I didn't say there's a huge demand. But there's enough to warrant the fight. Put it this way, it's not a match-up his promoter has had to sell the public on.

BTW, the public demands the wrong fight all the time.

Anyway, the bottom line is that comparing Pacquiao's decision to take on JMM to PBF's is comparing apples to organges, for a host of reasons.

    Oh stop

You have a completely unreasonable take... its no different than the guys who absolve Mayweather of everything... the difference is that you are on Pac's side instead.

    Bull-shit.

Are you telling me that the circumstances and timing surrounding Pacquiao's decision to fight JMM are the same as PBF's when he announced he'd be fighting JMM?

Not everyone believes that...apparently, you've made the uninformed choice to do so, and believe what you want to.

    But it doesn't change facts.

Which meant fuck-all to everyone except PBF because JMM was a featherweight, masquerading as a lightweight, calling out a welterweight, and obviously just carrying out his promoter's orders.

Please...this is crazytalk...what makes you thinly a man who's been fighting since he was a kid is afraid of another man who's the same size as the man he blasted, who that other man is fighting AGAIN? Cmon son,

I don't really wanna go down this well tread road again, other than to say if anyone can be proven afraid, the volumes of evidence points to Team Pacquiao.

    I wonder why that is.

I'll refrain from elaborating further (takes off black panther T)

T'was a pretty good masquerade: He stopped Diaz, Katsidis and Casamayor...two of which had never been stopped before with the third stopped only by one of the other two.

I guess when Floyd was fighting Gatti he was merely a Superfeatherweight Masquerading as a Jnr Welterweight.

i think it was probably GBP's idea initially, not his. why would it have occurred to him to move up two divisions when he was pushing his luck at 135? unless somebody had put it in his ear to do so? not saying he didn't ultimately want the fight.

anyway, whoever can't see the difference between Pacquiao having a rubber-match with an old-time rival, having already cleaned out his division, and PBF taking on a fledgling 135 pounder, simply because his promotional ties, reputation as a p4p top fighter, and underwhelming size make him a convenient choice, simply isn't willing to open his eyes.
