Yeah, Double, all of us are brainwashed by HBO, only you are capable of overcoming the powerful brain waves

The score DOES MATTER... your entire beef is that HBO was claiming that Linares was winning the fight by a mile... well, HE WAS WINNING IT BY A MILE!!! THAT is what was happening... you want them to just pretend DeMarco was doing a good job in there? Pretend it's a really competetive fight? Fucking guy landed maybe a dozen decent punches over the first 8 rounds, one of these happened to open a terrible cut on Linares, which bled profusely and took a lot out of him... The whole time watching the fight, I was yelling at the screen, imploring DeMarco to throw straight, sitting down on his shots, throw them out there with conviction... for 9 rounds, he FAILED to do so... pawing with a single, uncommitted jab and throwing slow, tentative left hand leads... even when Linares was getting inside and rattling off shots, bodypunching was something DeMarco appeared to be in denial about... He stopped Linares because HE FINALLY started throwing his punches straight and hard, with real effort... he didn't win because he "hunted' ... he won because he STOPPED "HUNTING" and started fucking PUNCHING

Who will be Khan's Cape Hunting Dog? The one he is slowly but surely reduced to begging to eat his own flesh off his bones so that he may rest his exhausted body and recover from the emotional nightmare of running for his life?

No. You've got it wrong. And you exaggerate, but I truly believe, based on your feed-back, that your perception of the fight was shaped to some extent by HBO's commentary.

Watch Linares in the corner - I think it was either directly prior to or two rounds removed from the final round. He turns to his corner and smiles - he knew he was finished.

He was winning the battles but losing the war, and he knew it.

There was no lucky punch, ala Foreman/Moorer. Rther, there was a pattern put into motion as early as the second round which amounted to simply delaying the inevitable.

And you're grossly underestimating the significance of the shots Demarco was able to land throughout the fight. The upper-cuts were especially effective and instrumental in keeping Linares on the run, expending energy round after round, and making him pay for trying to rest.

Sorry about the brief flutter, but the topic still appears to be intact.
