    Cotto by KO 9....

Maidana was to Ortiz, what Torres was to Cotto...that big scare that makes a fighter better..if he fights through the situation...

Huh? Ortiz folded and was stopped by Maidana. How does his, "win" over Ortiz correspond to Torres's loss to Cotto?

Is this HBO-speak? "Unconnected fighter #4,232," who can punch is to Ortiz, as, "unconnected fighter #4,226," who can punch is to Cotto?

Besides the fact Madaina beat Ortiz while Torrest lost to Cotto, isn't it a little unfair to compare Cotto to Ortiz?

Cotto gets hurt here and there, but he overcomes it and breaks Maidana down

What i meant was that a young Miguel Cotto just like Ortiz was in there with another young but unknown fighter..who turned out to be much tougher than expected...COTTO pass the test.....while Ortiz quit...

cotto was better at 140lbs than 147lbs. contrary to what some here want to believe.

    Why do you think so?

I think it's a tough call. Cotto was definitely a more imposing figure at 140, enjoying a significant strength advantage over his opponents. But at the same time, he was far more vulnerable there than at 147, probably due to the amount of weight he was required to cut to make 140.

Maidana fucks up Cotto...the way Corley would have if he only knew how to finish a dude. Cotto was fragile.

Your agenda also includes discrediting Pacquiao's achievement, which you've managed to do here, although only slightly since Pacquiao faced Cotto at 147, where he'd proven he was not fragile.

I'm a pac fan, why would I discredit his achievements? The only reason I'm not labelled a Pac nuthugger is because I happen to be an even bigger fan of Floyd and therefore that's what I'm known for.

however I am actually the biggest Pac fan on this site. I think he's in the P4P top 5 all time. No one here would claim this.

That is just so you can justify having Mayweather nearby on the same list...

Yeah. Cotto's fragility at 140 is notable because it disappeared at 147.

maybe. mosley was a good (narrow) win, and quintana was a good win. his resume of victories was far better at 140lbs.

good point. i think we see this trade-off a lot between durability and size advantage.

Cotto cuts him down as he used to do before Margacheato plastered him. tony will get payback soon though. He can barely see out of his eye and hides it with those sun glasses. Cotto lost his down the stretch stamina after that but he has two eyes and still can outbox a guy with one eye...GS..
