He's actually not a bad fighter (Jackaweicz). He split two fights w/ Jan Zavec and won a (disputed) decision over Delvin Rodriguez. Brook should win, but not a complete walk in the park.

OK, there are 6 men left standing and with the exception of Irish who missed the Floyd-Alvarez round (which can be subbed in later, if everyone's willing), everybody has picked for every fight since September. Scores since then are : Jake 81 Jimmy 80.5 Pagan 79.5 *Z* 76.5 Hut*Hut 75 Irish 61.5 Are there objections to calling the first 8 months a wrap with REED the overall champion for those and carrying on with the remaining contestants until New Year, with this completed round as the starting point? It's a manageable number (aka one who I can chase up and make sure play) and we could make sure we maintain an even playing ground with everybody taking part in every round with the eventual champ wining on merit rather than on the basis of him missing less fights than anyone else? Seems like a great way to get the thing (streamlined as it is) back onto track. Thoughts?
I'm all for that. Whatever it takes to keep this thing going. I also have no issue w/ Irish being subbed in for 9/17. The same was done with past contestants.
I think more guys will want to continue. The reason being that they did not post was due to the predictions league not being updated on a regular basis.
How about we complete the year with the men left standing and we can expand it on an invite-only basis after that based on who predicted regularly (and without constant PM harrying) for the longest? I'm thinking REED, Slice & ILLUMINATI for sure & possibly a couple of others. And if it sparkles brightly, we could create a team responsible for the upkeep of the League who could all contribute with updating the scores from time to time.
We should just end this one, I can't even keep up. I don't know when anything new is added and everything is so spread out all over the thread, I'm not sure if Jake is picking the fights or Hut or what, I just don't really know what the hell is going on anymore.
Post 303 is the upcoming fights for October and all new fights will be in post 2 as they're added as standard.
Jake, the dude was SHIT. He threw NOTHING back. It was a stroll in the park for Brook. Still questions remain. He looked good against shit last night.
I thought I called the Floyd and Alvarez fights??? I still want in, I only missed that section really where my internet was down.....I have my picks to do for this weekends action also. I am happy with Reed being called Champ for the time being, and we start again, sure. Party at Reeds?

Guys Im out all tomorrow - could one of you PM the other guys (Irish, Pagan & *Z*) at some point if they still haven't added their picks?
Sorry brotha, but I am out of this thing. Too much confusion and I missed picks because I didn't know if it was going on or not.
For those still participating, among this weeks fight is one on Friday (early afternoo for UK, early AM for stateside) Pongsaklek Wonjongkam v. Edgar Sosa
Reminder to the remaining participants, Wonjognkam-Sosa is tomorrow (less than 24 hrs from time of this post) Also, Calderon-Garcia is off. Garcia injured in training. No replacement yet named Oh... and my picks have been added to my original picks post
OK, table updated. I scored the Dawson win as an injury related stoppage rather than a plain TKO. As a relevant sidenote - Jake's second pick on that fight was 'Draw', which isn't actually covered under the scoring criteria. I've given him an extra 1.5 points for that fight, since an an injury stoppage for your man on a SD pick was worth 4 points, so I figure 3 points would be fairest for a draw pick (with a second pick being worth half points). If anyone has any objections say so, but that seemed the fairest solution to me. This weeks scores Irish 17 Hut 18.5 Jake 22 Pagan 23 Jimmy 29.5 Jimmy killed it this week with his double Garcia SD pick
That's damn impressive! Jimmy, you should personally send a note to Wayne Hedgpeth for being blind enough to allow that fight to be a split decision :: Holt's my boy (and a fellow NY Giants fan) but no way he won more than four rounds - and that's probably my bias giving him that many rounds in the fight. He fought as dumb as you possibly could - worse, same exact fight plan as when he fought Bradley, sans the knockdowns.
:laugh11: Altho i'm grateful to Hedgpeth for scoring it in Holt's favor, i'm stunned he called it for Holt, as Garcia clearly won the fight. I've no idea what fight he was watching. Holt looked poor that night.
