Plenty fun...... Roman empire 9th legion are attacked by northern british tribe folk...a small group of survivors must find their general and head south toward roman controlled area......
Fassbender! :bears: I've seen it. It's pretty good, a kinda Gladiator meets 300. Not as good as either but this very good.
Fassbender! :hammert: I'm telling ya, he should be cast as James Bond. Kick out Daniel "short ugly blond angry man" Craig...and go back to the original template.
I find these types of movies stupid... just like I thought Braveheart was stupid... "oh, cdogg, I hate you!!! fuck you for hating Braveheart!!!" "fuck you for hatred of historical inaccuracies at the service of entertaining jockish posing!!!" I've heard it all before, fuckers... I can take it Watching Russel Crowe "super serious" his way through the ridiculousness of "Gladiator" is a waste of time... "I Shall Have my vengance... on the paparazzi" ... guy is a fat-headed tool
Braveheart is ridiculously fictional and Mel Gibson is an obnoxious ham There, I said it burn in hell!!!
I agree with you on Gladiator, it's one of the most overrated movies ever IMO. Give me Kingdom of Heaven any day of the week over Gladiator. I disagree that Braveheart isn't good though. To me it just sounds like you're not a fan of this particular genre. I mean if you're going to base your hatred off of historical inaccuracies then you should hate pretty much every movie ever made that's based on a true story.
Everybody should know these are Fantasy's, perhaps inspired by something that may or may not have happened. Assume every movie is fictional and enjoy it for what it is. I don't understand people who can enjoy "Terminator II", but pick apart "Gladiator", or "Braveheart" because they're not historically accurate. "Do I Entertain You", should be a metaphor for this thread, because that's all that really matters.
"Gladiator" was better, "Kingdom Of Heaven" had the potential to be better, but just didn't come together and Orlando Bloom sucks balls.
Who cares what they're purported to be? The movies you mentioned are fiction, no matter what events they might be "based on". You should view them as such and they might be more enjoyable. Watch Docs and read books if you want an actual history lesson.
"Historians will say that I'm a liar, but history is written by those who killed the heros" - Braveheart (transliterated) :rock1::egypt: I don't care how fictional Braveheart is, I don't care that William Wallace was teh father of the future king of England....GREAT FILM!!! Awesome! I've watched it at least 5 times. Never get tired of it. I do agree with you on Mel Gibson being an obnoxious ham though.
