Which is actually a bad thing now that i think about it since it offers no motivation to make a fight worth a fuck.

Floyd has never been overly concerned with protecting his "0". If he was..he damned well shouldn't have risked it in fights with Corrales, Castillo and De La Hoya.

I too don't think the fight will happen. Floyd will continue to tell Manny to take blood tests, Manny will continue to tell Floyd to go fuck himself, with Top Rank and Golden Boy continuing to detest one another.

There was a point in time when Floyd was willing to truely test himself against the elite guys. But those days are long gone. He's just content to make big money pay days against no hopers while making some faint noises about wanting to face Pacquiao in the ring.

    Mayweather-Khan is a possibility, though.

I don't believe it. There's a reason those numbers took this long to surface, and it aint because the number is 1.25 million :)

If that was true they would have released them straight away.

i dont see how it benefits mayweather jr to lie about the numbers. if he says they are higher than they actually are then it seems the IRS will want a greater cut from his overall take. that would be like him bragging about how his team scalped tickets to the hatton fight and made a killing.

I bet you it goes more than 3 rounds and pac/floyd does not happen (my thoughts.)

Arum said the fight ''will never happen, because floyd is scared of manny's right hand'' and floyd would only agree to the fight if pac promised to only jab all night long.

    that's ridiculous

the most ever reported is 2.4 million and it featured the last fighter of the modern era to be anything close to a household name (DLH) as one of the combatants

To suggest that this fight would sell more than three times as many is insane

It could sell MORE than 2.4 million, but ten million is completely unheard of

Sly's talking out of his ass to get attention yet again.

Doesn't matter, De La Hoya vs Ray Leonard wouldn't do 10 million.

I don't know if the numbers are accurate but what if you did a breakdown of the 1.5 millions buys Mayweather-Ortiz reportedly did? What percentage of thouse households purchased a lot of PPV's? Almost every UFC, every "big" boxing match etc.

I'd wager 30% of them would purchase Butterbean vs Kimbo if it was marketed right.

There is a built in audience for such crap. Because something is actually worth watching doesn't make it do 5X the regular numbers.

Yep, especially when they have been so greedy with the prices. If Pac-Floyd ever happens expect the PPV prices to be around 70 for standard and 80 for high def.

Even at 80 for hd, 3 mil+ for Floyd/Pac is not out of the question imo.

PAC is a scared hoe who thinks since he is running for office he can do whatever the hell wants but he still needs to abide by the rules like everyone else

I think they should test and if he fails they should put him in the slammer where he will get "Slammed" by some guy who will make PAC his girlfriend
