Would Nando be too big, and skilled for Pipino? Or would Cuevas simply hit too hard for the very hittable Vargas?
I think Vargas could outbox him. He's bigger, stronger, and more athletic. I think Vargas outworks him and stops him late in a good fight.
Yeah, I could see Nando outboxing then battering Cuevas like he did Campas. But I just cant get Nando's left hook weakness out my head. So I'm not confident with my Vargas pick at all.
Vargas would be a zombie at 154 same day The only way to compare guys from different eras is to just take the fighters as they were in the ring at the weight.
Thin ice for a Mosley apologist. The guys entire career (pre-Oscar throwing him the bone which would make him every penny he ever earned) was masquerading as a LW to beat up smaller men.
he is upset that mosley's victory over margarito is more impressive than any win of the queers career.
Was I the one bringing him up? Youre full of shit. Youre a fucking Tyson fan. Who are you to criticise ANYONE for their choice of fighter!?
I think DLH's victory over Vargas was at least comparable, he also arguably beat Tito and Mosley in the 2nd fight. Ruelas and Chicanito were pretty good wins as well, Chicanito being somewhat mitigated by the fact that he had to come up from 130..
That won't work, because then we should admit that for example lightweight De La Hoya would probably be too big for a lightweight Duran and I am not sure everybody wants to go there :cheer:
Or side step that strange, pointless question & match them under the same weigh in rules and hence the same approx weight.
Hernandez was somewhat mitigated by the broken nose Mosley gave him in the gym. vargas had already gotten the shit knocked out of him and looked highly vulnerable in subsequent matches. not to mention mosley dominated margarito more
i like the phrase "throwing him a bone" i guess that is some type of code for "hoping i can redeem myself after a cowardly performance, vs a seemingly smaller fighter"
Honest to God, Vernon Forrest!!! Even Max Schmeling had to laugh at that kind of screaming. At least he was beaten by a great fighter (and at the end of his career, not in his prime), not Ricardo Mayorga's pinata ::
Yeah. Oscar was always afraid of a challenge. His level of opposition takes one huge, steaming dump on Mosleys, and even Neil would quietly stew in acknowledgement of that.
Its still not too late for you to denounce fandom of the queer. If photo's of Marvin Hagler adorned in a pink polka dot leotard surfaced on the net i would never re-watch any of his fights, and burn all memorabilia
Its still more embarrassing to be Vernon Forrest's play-thing, Jin Mosleys bitch, and an admitted PED cheat.
