Bert Sugar was in the hospital for a while and was not doing well. He has just returned home in the last week to continue his recovery. I had spoken to him while he was in the hospital and he did not sound like his same upbeat self. I know the sands are draining for a couple of our last links to boxing glory. I just thought I'd let you all know.
Not wishing death on anyone, but I don't have any respect for Sugar or his "knowledge" ... he's a guy who dresses up like the 1920s and acts like he was there, he's a phony
What always fucked me off about him was how he had these stupid negative comments about boxing, like...."If boxing were a stock, I'd short-sell it" This coming from a guy too mean to light a cigar. Bert wouldn't sell stock cos he was too mean to buy any in the first place.
