Two big punchers who had some vulnerability to match.

I think Chapo takes him out, though. Faster and punches just as hard as Corrales if not harder.

    Rosario TKO 7

Corrales MUST survive the first 5 or 6 rounds to win this, he HAS to... I just don't know that he could... He had loads of heart but nowhere near the durability of a Jose Luis Ramirez, who could take endless punishment and still stubbornly be there...

If Corrales can survive the first half of the fight, he can start to discourage Rosario with his heart and his own formidable punches, but that is a big if... When Rosario was on, he was a sizzling starter

I'm a HUGE fan of both, but I don't have to think twice about this one. Rosario within 4.

agREED. I can't see anything other than a violent end for Corrales if Rosario is at his best.

I'm pretty much convinced of that, too

but Corrales was game... maybe he gets off the deck, half-dead and puts some hooks out there, gets back in it

Still, your scenario is the most logical

Rosario definitely is the favorite and rightfully so.

But in defense of Chico, he has shown an ability to get off the deck when hurt. And he could put just about anyone down with one of those short, quick left hooks of his(First fight with Casamayor comes to mind).

So yeah this is definitely interesting. Would have been fun while it lasted.

Yeah, but how many of those times he got "off the deck" were against a puncher like Rosario?

None. So based on that, he's definitely not the favorite here. Lol

But maybe he could weather the early rounds storm and hang around for a bit to pull something off.

I doubt he wins. But maybe he could have made it competitive.
