On the second installment of “24/7†which aired this past weekend on HBO, Juan Manuel Marquez revealed that he is no longer in the habit of drinking his own urine at the advice of his doctor (which trumps his previous doctor’s approval of piss consumption). What was interesting was the revelation that in preparing for his second major bout at welterweight- at a catchweight of 144 pounds- he is now working with a strength-and-conditioning coach named Angel Hernandez. Hernandez spoke openly to the HBO cameras about his regimen with Marquez. Marquez, who said he felt slow and sluggish versus Floyd Mayweather as a welterweight back in 2009, could be seen working plyometric drills and resistance bands as part of his new workout plan. But just who is Hernandez? It turns out not too long ago he was going by “Angel Heredia†and has quite a checkered background in the field of illegal performance-enhancing drugs. http://www.maxboxing.com/news/main-lead/will-the-real-memo-please-stand-up
There are two safety nets to exploit,.. Arum and Kizer have declared strict drug testing as the enemy of all mankind,.. so they cant do much about Marquez new training regiume,.. but they can govern handwraps on the night of the fight,.. they can set the balance there and then.
Level playing field indeed. Watch Marquez come into the ring RIPPED, never get tired after throwing 1200 punches and with the ability to KO Jnr Middleweights! ::
Marquez is always ripped and rarely tires, though that last trait would raise a few eyebrows if it came to fruition...particularly since there isnt a PED yet which will significantly alter your punching power ::
Yep. I really like Marquez, and would be happy for him if he upset Pacquiao. Good for him, great fighter and all that. But as ridiculous as it is, I'm still holding out hope for Mayweather/Pacquiao. ::
Marquez might do better than any of us anticipate. After the fight there might be "Floyd Vs Post PEDs Marquez" in the MM forum ::
From the video i saw Marquez looks bigger, especially in the shoulders. Whether or not this new conditioning makes any difference we'll see, but i think it will do very little. Boxing skills and speed will still be the decider.
Dont read anything about it. Just go watch the movie and then come back read his post again. It's will make sense.
Arum proving once again that nobody should ever take anything he says seriously, ever “I want to say something to the writers. Many of you are really behind the times. Victor Conte and this Hernandez or Herrera or whatever were implicated in the use of steroids in the so-called BALCO case. The two of them are the least likely to use steroids anymore because they have both learned their lesson. Not because they are good guys but because natural supplements, used correctly, have the same effect as steroids without the bad part."

Arum/Pac have agreed to any and all testing, that is all they need to know. Why pressure him about the past negotiations? They need to focus on the present, not the past. Make the fucking fight already! The testing issue is dead.
